I smoke but if I was meeting I would not arrive smelling of stale tobacco. I would be washed, wearing clean clothes and smelling of Mont Blanc Legend. Am I the only smoker who does this or are there others who feel the same? |

You have nothing to worry about Op.....
I would suggest putting non smoker on your profile....
It’s in the same vein as a bi male putting straight on his profile.....
People can understand that that smoking can be a turn off to some people, so it’s perfectly alright to put non smoker to get a meet.... |

I was a smoker for years , I stopped 18 months ago and I can't believe just how foul smelling it is , when you smoke you don't really smell it as a non smoker does and when we were able to light up in restaurant s etc it must have been terrible for ppl around eating |

I don't care how clean you are and how much you can't smell it yourself a smoker always smells of smoke it seeps from there skin and its a no from me, I always get wound up when people have non smoker on there profile and then turn up stinking of fag smoke and think that because they shoved some gum in there mouth I'll be non the wiser |

I went for 100% honesty in my profile, no point in lies to get meets. I could also stop smoking but it's my only outlet as I don't drink alcohol or go out to pubs and clubs. I also live in a smoke free home and have to stand at the bottom of my garden to smoke, this time of year is horrible for it |

Went on a date with a girl that 'didnt smoke'. Kissed and like, she didnt taste great. After a few drinks she did what all non smokers do and had a fag off a mate. Kissed after and it was an improvement. |

I take full responsibility and I'd rather any funds that would be used to treat me got used on a child, so if I do get a smoking related illness, I'm refusing treatment. We ain't all arseholes and some of the choices we make aren't selfish.

I don't smoke and have never smoked. I grew up with chain smoking parents so it doesn't bother me as much as it might someone who has never been around smokers.
It is true that in the vast majority of cases the smell seeps through any attempts to disguise it - it's in the fabric of clothes, in hair, on skin and yes, in jizz.
I have met one guy who I genuinely wouldn't have known smoked. No idea how but he doesn't smell or taste of it. He's welcome to smoke in my flat (I dig out an ashtray when I remember) because I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, but he's never done so.
I really don't agree at all with lying on a profile, any more than I agree with shaving a few years off your age to beat filters. Lying is lying and it's one thing to message and take a chance they'll be open to meeting you even though you smoke, it's quite another to attempt to hide the fact when you meet up. |

So every smoker quits, healthier future yes, but what about the money the government will be losing, they say well we will save on health care costs, yes maybe in a generation or two, in the mean time all those billions of pounds lost will need to be made up from somewhere else, WHERE????
I think it will be made up by rises in income tax, Vat, or maybe a new tax will be brought in.
Now smokers/ex smokers won't notice much difference as they have been paying in tax on tobacco, but people who have never smoked will lose out big style.

I'm not and never have been a smoker. Despite the attempts by lots of industries, it's not cool, or trendy, and is harmful to smokers and those around them. On top of that, it's disgusting.
Smokers easily delude themselves into thinking that they can hid being a smoker. You may hide it to yourself, but a non-smoker will get it straight away. It's in your breath, your hair, your hands, and permeates your body.
I have on my profile that I will meet smokers, but my absolute preference would always be a non-smoker. As a smoker, they would need to be a light and considerate smoker.
Putting on your profile that you're a non-smoker when you are a smoker will get yourself caught out quite quickly, and from my point of view you'll lose your credibility quite quickly. It's not ok to lie to get meets. |

A cynical argument could be made that you don't want the population to quit, as they live shorter lives and become less of a problem in terms of long term elderly care. But it doesn't work like that.
Sure, as smokers quit and smokers die the tax take reduces. But our taxation system needs a revamp. We will lose fuel revenue in an rapidly escalating way over the next fifteen years as we move to a zero emission future. That tax revenue will also need to be recouped. The retail model we have been used to for centuries is collapsing, and global corporations are using legal means to minimise their tax contribution. That's a huge problem, and requires a global initiative to resolve.
But in taxation terms, we are all in for bigger bills as the cost of this whole covid shite will take a generation to pay for. |

Neither of us smoke, or have smoked. We've both been excited by people on here in the past, only to realise they're smokers - it's a hard no for us, as no matter what smokers do to disguise it, it's a part of you.
I'm not keen on vaping either. Lots who vape, class themselves as non-smokers and there's no category/filter on here for vaping
