Fab friends ain't real friends.
Seen it said loads and it makes me  x10
My closest friends are all from here. Let me tell you a little about them.
I've a few I've never met but trust with my deepest darkest thoughts.
I've others I rarely see, some who have left the site but we speak daily or weekly.
I've others who had me at theirs last lockdown for 10 weeks. They held me together as best as they could while my world was falling apart around me.
I'm back with them now.
For the last few days they'd been acting a bit weird. 3 of them had disappeared all day long for a 3 days. I found it curious, but asked no questions.
Then they dropped the bomb.
They 'stole' my doorkey....
Painted the stairs walls and ceiling (which haven't been touched in 7 years since I moved in), ripped up the shit stair carpet, tidied some of the snagging in the living room I couldn't do, ordered underlay and carpet for the stairs, living room and my bedroom, sorted out the cupboard under the stairs and thrown a load of crap away. Ordered a new fan for the bathroom, fixed the bannister. They're still gonna box in the pipes at the top of the stairs, paint 2 radiators, fix the dodgy wiring on one of the light switches and ordered blinds for all of my windows.
Humbled doesn't even come close to how I'm feeling.
We're like a dysfunctional family and I'm so thankful to have such beautiful and generous people in my life.
 I'm touched beyond belief and the tears keep rolling.
Again, please don't tell me friends you make on here aren't real.

That’s a load of bollocks. I’ve made some of the best friends I have on Fab. Women who have seen me through my dark moments, women who I absolutely adore. Friends are one of the best things to come out of Fab for me |

That’s wonderful.
My absolute best friend in the world I met though fab. She’s my total rock and I can talk to her about anything. My dog adores her and he doesn’t like anyone he gets annoyed until she cuddles him. She walks into my house and feeds my cats and gets on with my whole family.
I have other close friends from here too. You do meet some amazing people |

Meh it's alright I suppose but if they'd been real friends they'd have fitted new double glazing and added a conservatory, tarmacked the drive and installed a hot tub
Cracks me up when people say how can you feel strongly about someone you've never met, or only meet occasionally - of course you can, sometimes it's easier to pour your heart out to someone like that and by doing so that friendship grows and takes shape and can be just as strong as any "in person" friendship and possibly stronger.
I never expected to find that when I signed up, but have a couple of people that I trust with my life, let alone my confidences and who I *know* will continue to feature in my life and always be there - they've moved way beyond Fab friendships though. |

Good people go though times that make you question wtf is wrong with the world, why is it so cruel? I don't have the answers, but I do believe in karma.

And this is what the flip side of a site like Fab can be when its populated with some truly beautiful human beings.
Peach, I have only admiration for your friends as they really have shown what these random people you can find through the Internet can become to us.
They have gone all out to show you how much you mean to them in a way they know how and are making your quality of life better in response to how they see you have enriched theirs.
Let this show you how much you mean to them and no doubt to many others on here for your words, wit, wisdom, friendship and downright determination to do your best in what I know has been a tough time for you.

Friends can be found in all sorts of places. Most of my close friends I met online in one place or another. I've only been here a few months and already met some people who I have clicked with and we can talk about anything and everything. At the moment, one is being my shoulder to lean on as another friend I've known a few years; from a different sex site, is in stage 4 cancer. |

I had stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and was given very little if not any chance at all, that will have been 31yrs ago in January. Tell your friend to never give up on positive thinking, it sounds like bullshit but it works... fuck cancer!

Peach. You are an amazing person and an amazing friend. And a very wise person recently said to me that people attract people who are similar to themselves so it comes as no surprise to me that you have incredible friends.
And on the subject, some of the friends I have made on here are absolutely the best I've got. Sadly for them it means they're stuck with me as well.
I've got no qualms about saying that Lu and Jeff have been the most incredible friends and support to me over the last few weeks that I've not been able to move. I don't know what I'd have done without them. |
