Whilst I appreciate its every one’s right to set parameters it’s very frustrating as a single male trying to engage contact to just be blocked because of age. Discuss. |

It's like me...
If someone doesn't want to meet me because I'm over 50, under 6ft, out of shape, hairy, bald, speccy, bi or whatever else, then they aren't losing out, they're just not meeting someone who doesn't meet their criteria
As I said above, I have criteria too. I don't regard it as a loss if I choose not to meet someone who doesn't meet them |

Just done a local search
75 over 62 within 30 miles
Quick look and they mostly all have a range 50 to 75 ish

It's the individuals choice. If you're too old or too young for someones preferences - tough. I know it's harsh but there's little point in worrying about what you can't control. |

I'm 5'9", 54 and bald. That's three things I cannot change. Many ladies want guys taller than 5'9", and others want a full head of hair. My toys remain in my pram. Instead of bitching about it, I concentrate on those for whom it's not an issue. |

Unless you've never changed it from the 18-99 range, you'll find most people have set an age range preferred, me included. I couldn't personally see me meeting many under the age of 35, nor anyone over 65. I don't want to meet people younger or older than that! Does that mean that I'm out of order for limiting my age preference? Because that's how your post reads to me  |

I understand what why you're frustrated.
I would say sharpen your wits (and typing skills) and join in the banter in the threads. Show your personality here. You'll be amazed at how you'll get on then.
Also, don't only focus on meeting. Just chat and if someone contacts you to meet, that's wonderful. Some will contact you only to say hello and I really like that.
One more thing....please polish up your profile page. I say this with the best of intentions; would you really want to meet you based on that page? I do not get any sense of who you are from that. |

One other thing, I've had people contact me and I am far outside their age range. Yet, they bothered to read my profile and message me if only to say they liked my profile or what I said in the Forum. That's all. Not suggesting meeting. Just hello and that's really nice. |

And no. I don't think it would be a good idea to say "but I'm only two years over your limit, and I've got loads to offer in bed". It's a stated boundary. Respect it. |

We have plenty of ladies in our age range that are incredibly confident and sexy! I've put an age limit of not below 45 because I want to be able to relate to what she's talking about. |

I've known 50+ years olds who could give much younger people a run for their money. And 40 year olds who could pass for 60.
Although Maturity does come into the equation rather than just looks.
I find it difficult to talk to a 20+ year old with limited life experience.
And when I think back to being that age the sex wasn't that great. |

It is what it is, If you want to change it once covid is lessened (it isn't going away) then get out to group socials & clubs.
We are in a different position as we have people look at us & H will be in their range but I won't or I will be in their range & H won't or they feel they won't? I dunno.
What I do know is that we've played with people from 23-55 in clubs because there you are you, in the flesh standing there talking & not some faceless basher of keys a zillion miles away.
pretty much past 50 though on here & unless you are a single female there's a lot of effort for not a lot of return, why we don't bother messaging anymore. our last two meets came from the real world no online interactions at all.
