Enhancements of any sort just seem fake to me. Yes I've seen a few botched lip fillers & also botched breast implants. Not a good look but that's my opinion. We all have different types & tastes. Many enhancements stem from personal insecurities... Not all. If it improves someones self confidence it's worth it I guess....... Natural all the way for me though.

"Yes, there’s a young girl at my place who was absolutely gorgeous, and i mean stunning. She looks like an inflatable sex doll now. Such a shame." Some celebs have absolutely destroyed themselves with `enhancements`. They were naturally beauties but now look `Alien` or like ``like an inflatable sex doll``. I believe it becomes addictive also

"I prefer the natural look for myself and on others. My daughter has lip fillers and they don't enhance her natural beauty in my opinion. She loves them and its gives her confidence, which is a good boost but I would rather she didn't do it. She lives for social media affirmations of her beauty and always does a trout pout smile... grrr which actually saddens me. I wish she could see the beautiful woman she is and I will keep telling her that.... I love my daughter for who she is and what she looks like naturally. Her x" Hadn’t even thought of the Mum aspect to it! Like you I blame social media, seems the younger generation are obsessed with likes!

"I get what you mean, about looking different dolled up to the no make up. I always say they look like they been beaten up when you see them the morning after, in an airport or train station going home after a heavy night out. I'm a bit indifferent to them. Sometimes they can look sexy, I quite sometimes like the over the top ones on the right person. But sometimes they can look painful and that's not good to see. A major downside is that everyone just looks the same! They all get the same work done and look like clones of each other. " They do!!! They all look the same!! Same lips, brows, cheeks! "Lip Fillers... Seems these days there’s a larger number of ladies that have this. Now as a woman I appreciate they look hot if done right, when you’re all dolled up. But... Jesus Christ they can look ridiculous with no makeup on? There’s a girl near us, who I’m sure I could pick up and stick to a window with her lips. So are men (or ladies who like ladies) actually into this? I’m assuming that’s one of the reasons why one would want permanent blow job pout? Women who have them, how do they feel? Does it not constantly feel like the fat lip you get from biting your lip? I just don’t get the appeal from either side so could someone educate me please? Not meaning to offend anyone here, just a genuine question.... C xx" No doesn't feel like you have a fat lip if you just have a small amount to enhance what you already have profile pic are mine from 10 months ago and i think they look ok and guess its each to their own But am with you on the trend of these Russian doll lips that are the trend at the minute they totally distort the face

"I prefer natural over enhanced when it comes to body parts, but in terms of lip fillers, if theyre so subtle that I don't notice and they make the woman feel more confident, then that's great. I'm not at all keen on the extreme, overdone look though. " Exactly, but near us I’d say a good 80% of the girs in their 20’s 30’s have the extreme look

Tom Hardy's or Simon Cowell's or the other countless males who have had it done. It's still a patriarchal society in many ways....... Who owned Little Mix ? Why do they dress like two bit whores and enlarge their lips ? Who called all the shots ? It wasn't and still isn't them just as it wasn't the Spice Girls, too young and stupid to feel how manipulated they are. Even here, and I don't expect any more, the very men ridiculing the fish lip look ...... then start asking what the lips'd be like for a blow job.... Wobble your heads. Women don't owe you the pretty you look for in porn all the time but a lot of them are stupid enough to go through surgery to give you pretty and they do it mindlessly and often with regret. It didn't seem as bad when I was young, but then, I might not have been so aware of it. Now I have daughters and a granddaughter, I am acutely aware of it. My worry is that for the majority of people undertaking these procedures, they treat it with the same gravity as buying a dress. Like you say, pierced ears were a big step for a girl at one time. Now they are virtually wearing earrings in their pram. But it's not just girls. You don't have to look far (on here) to see blokes also trying hard to comply with a certain (gym body) look. Luckily I'm naturally buff!

"My cousin has been regularly getting them done for the last few years and has really ruined her looks. The problem with the lip fillers is the more you get them done, the easier the body starts to break the toxins in the lips, meaning you have to get them done more often the longer you have them. In the same way tribal arm tattoos can age a man (you know they were born in the 80s) in 10 years you're going to know how old a person is because they're all going to have the same problem with their lips - which ironically is what they're all trying to avoid with the fillers anyway. " Does it matter if people know what decade you were born in?
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big) |
"I absolutely love mine. Even with no make up. I have no make up on on my profile pic. Don’t think I look too shabby " What does your arm tattoo say?
Reply privately (closed, thread got too big) |
" Does it matter if people know what decade you were born in?" Not at all. But my point is that the majority of time, the reason people go for cosmetic surgery and enhancements is to make themselves appear younger and more attractive. If you're trying to do that in 10 years time, and you still have the lip fillers, you wont be able to hide the age range you're trying to avoid.

" Hair dye, bras, shaving etc isn't permanent though. I think cosmetic procedures that are permanent or could leave lasting impact need to be considered extremely carefully and shouldn't be the sort of thing done on a whim in the lunch break. Lip fillers can cause permanent damage/scarring if done badly. Infection can result. It needs much more thought than "shall I make my pubes a landing strip or heart shaped?"

"I met someone off here for a social and before i left the forced a snog (there was zero chemistry and it really was just a coffee) and I had zero experience of fillers until then and it wasn’t for me! their lips were way too soft like i guess without any/too much filler you have firmer or more control over your lips? It just felt sloppy and squishy, and not in a good way ahah" Lip fillers don’t make your lips soft, if anything they make them lumpy. My sister has hers done twice a year and you can feel the lump inside them. I had them once last October and they hurt like a morherfucker so although I liked the look, I had 1ml put in which isn’t that much considering some people have 2 or 3ml. They’ve all dissolved now but in July I had sex with a guy and with that a massive kissing session. He sucked my lips so much that the next few days my lips had swollen and it felt like the filler had reactivated cos I could feel it inside my lips!

I think cosmetic procedures that are permanent or could leave lasting impact need to be considered extremely carefully and shouldn't be the sort of thing done on a whim in the lunch break. Lip fillers can cause permanent damage/scarring if done badly. Infection can result. It needs much more thought than "shall I make my pubes a landing strip or heart shaped?" My post was more in response to all the men claiming to prefer a natural body, on a web site where half of them demand a woman be hairless from the neck down. That shit definitely ain't natural . I do agree with _inky_couple2020 that permanent changes need careful consideration and shouldn't be in the same bracket as hair dye and leg shaving . However there's a strange irony in criticising women for looking a particular way while insisting they look another. " Yep, when most guys say they prefer "natural" they generally mean a certain , somewhat skewed perception of "natural". Just check any womens magazine to see how much time and makeup is needed to achieve the "natural look". And woe betide (for the majority) if you dare to rock body hair. Amuses me.

"The woman who played Ivy Tilsley in Coronation Street was ridiculed for getting lip fillers years ago. "Mr B is not a fan, calls it false advertising. I just love the false advertising line What are people advertising exactly? (I hear it against myself re makeup. And honey - not aimed at anyone in particular - if you think my eyelids are actually glittery gold, I'm not really the one with the problem) You know women are advertising their body for sex right? On here perhaps. I was thinking more "in the real world" it's like... genetic fitness for mating? I hope if you have kids with someone you know them well enough to know that they have their eyebrows waxed, much less cosmetic procedures " My comment was tongue in cheek. . Describing a woman as "advertising" just because she's got dressed or put make up on...shudder

"Lip Fillers... Seems these days there’s a larger number of ladies that have this. Now as a woman I appreciate they look hot if done right, when you’re all dolled up. But... " Done right... thats it, right there! Personally, it think the good ones outnumber the bad one more than men outnumber women on here. Also, a lot of ladies who have them, don't need them. Actually, does anyone need them? It's like this comic quest to transform yourself from individual to cookie cutter fashion-slave. Reminds me of boob jobs. As a photographer I've photographed countless "enhanced" ladies. Some boob jobs have been horrific, most are obvious, few look natural and only one was so good that I had to look for the scar. That's not a good ratio. Be real, be you, and stand out for that!

However there's a strange irony in criticising women for looking a particular way while insisting they look another. Very much. It feels like we can't win a lot of the time, look like (impossible standard) but make it natural. Yeah... no. We'll never win any of the time. I stopped trying in 1974 These days I try if you're paying me (work not sex work...) or for certain people who have preferences but accept me regardless. When I do myself up it's for me, my way, and if you don't like it you can look away." I happily admit to wearing certain things or looking a certain way for my partner. I would draw the line at surgery just for them but I'd have it done for me if I wasn't too scared. I don't and won't try to look a certain way to garner approval from men or women but I don't mind if the way I choose to look pleases them.

That's not enough for a night out or whatever. Just seems like a waste of money. Buy decent lipstick and liner and it'll last ages.

" I definitely believe there should be a consultation which includes a brief mention of someone’s mental health rather than just discussing the procedure. " The "mental health" consultation should be greater than the medical consultation when undergoing any form of elective surgery, and should be legally regulated. Equally important is that such consultations are done without the subjects partner present to eradicate any outside pressure to have the surgery (it happens) I'm sure in many cases the confidence issues people suffer from could be treated with therapy for a lot less than the surgeons knife. I'm surprised the lip filler industry survived after the Leslie Ash scandal.

"Very apt that a thread about ‘enhancements’ has come up on my boobs 13th anniversary. Yep, 13 years ago to the day I was up in the NW11 area of London, having my chat with the anaesthetist around now. I’d had all my chest marked up by the surgeon, was wearing my surgical stockings and my gown and cap and was super excited, just needed the ok off the anaesthetist and then I went down to theatre. Came round, looked down at my chest and saw the big lumps all bandaged up and had a little feel and started crying with happiness that I finally had a chest like every other woman. I’ve loved them every day for the last 13 years. Only ever had compliments about them from my friends, every guy I’ve been with have loved them and wouldn’t stop squeezing them and sucking them. The only negativity I’ve had is from 9 years on this site. Men and women that say constantly say how natural is best and they love to throw a few comments in about them being plastic, rock hard, tennis balls and other derogatory comments. It’s these comments I’ve had to read, for years as well it’s not like a recent thing, it’s years and years. Majority of the women who say things like oh natural is best and I would never have implants, you look at them and 9 times out of 10 they are grossly overweight and breasts are primarily made up of fat so if they weren’t carrying that extra fat they may not have breasts in the first place. That’s could explain why I always mention weight. It’s fine for people to have a go at my insecurities so I go at their insecurities which is their weight. What I’m getting at is nobody knows how an individual feels, the money and pain they endure to get these procedures aren’t just things you can do on a whim. To then be attacked and made fun of for something they were insecure about in the first place is just shit. Nobody has the right to judge anyone. " Yet here you are 'judging' lip fillers

Yet here you are 'judging' lip fillers " And weight You want lip fillers? Go seek that out. Cosmetic surgery? Ditto. When my filters allow it I occasionally get abuse for not having tattoos. These threads sometimes read a lot like that. I'm not modifying my body for some random on Fab, no matter how horrible they are about what I look like. I'm not doing it for a friend on Fab either. These threads always seem to go the same way. Do I like lip fillers? Not particularly BUT it's not my face or my goddamn business, and all the insults that follow are horrible. Everyone with lip fillers, cosmetic surgery, piercings, whatever - you do you. Love your body. Be who you want to be.

I feel the lips have gone too far personally, much like Lola Ferrari did with her breast implants but it’s everywhere now, literally every girl we see when out and about her lips look 2” off her face. Obviously that’s their choice, i just wanted to know others opinions on it.

"I do think the aesthetics practitioners should have a duty of care though and when someone looks overtly done they should advise them that they don’t need anymore. A lot of people that have procedures all the time could have some form of body dysmorphia and they may not see what others see. But then if one turned them down there would be other cowboys willing to take their money and do it. I definitely believe there should be a consultation which includes a brief mention of someone’s mental health rather than just discussing the procedure. I watch only way is Essex and I’ve got a 60 inch tv so when Chloe Sims came on the screen her lips were so big I thought I was watching the news and 10 refugees were gonna jump out of her mouth cos they genuinely looked like a rubber dingy. I think when your lips make up 30% of your face it’s a bit much and someone close to that person should intervene, instead of cosmetic procedures a closer look at that persons mental health should be done. " Some cosmetic surgeons are decent. I had cosmetic surgery and my surgeon openly advertises the fact that he will only do what he believes is tasteful and not extreme.

" Yet here you are 'judging' lip fillers " I’m not judging anyone. I said that when someone looks overtly done then the aesthetics practitioner should go a little further than just giving them more. The practitioner knows the amounts to get a natural look and will discuss what look that person wants to achieve but if through their professional eye they believe that look has been achieved then they should explore other avenues like considering the person could have some type of body dysmorphia. Chloe Sims is my perfect example, she has gone over and above a natural plumper pout. I’ve watched her for 10 years and have seen her struggles and she’s approaching 40 and not successful with men, she’s got a lot going on upstairs. I’m not judging her right to have enhancements I’m saying that her look has been achieved over and above to the point where professionals shouldn’t be letting her go bigger.

" My surgeon wouldn’t let me go any bigger. I had my consultation and said I wanted these huge E cup implants. He said he would not do them. He said some surgeons will but you’ll have stretch marks, and skin puckering and you’ll be able to see the ridge of the implant. He said I could only have submuscular ones (begins the chest muscle) and he wouldn’t go any bigger than 260cc which is fuck all when you think the average boob job is 330cc. I physically didn’t have enough breast tissue to cover the implants so he flat out refused to give me bigger ones. Now I’m bigger myself, I’ve had a child since and my boobs have sagged slightly over the years, I could accommodate bigger implants.

C xx" I prefer the natural beauty

" Damn! That's me out, I've got titanium implants in my spine Snap! I also have a titanium implant in my spine - wallis ligament? Spinal stenosis. Co-flex? I had mine done about 13 years ago so I don't remember exactly what it was called - all they told me is wallis ligament. Mine was for 2 prolapsed discs. Mine was a fairly complicated problem which I won't bore you with but spinal stenosis sort of covers it. I will be eternally grateful to that surgeon " Me too - I spent 3 years pretty much unable to walk properly before my surgery. Now I can limbo!

"Would one of the gents who prefers a woman to look natural mind saying what natural looks like. they have no idea. Where as women can spot even a hint of makeup or 'natural ' hairstyling etc .. I genuinely don't know what people mean (women say it too). Do they mean completely as nature intended?" For me natural looking means nothing too fake including surgery. No HD eyebrows or long thick fake eyelashes, no thick brightly coloured makeup with contouring and dark fake tan, no long plastic nails and hair extensions etc .. I'm not judging people that do have these things before anyone gets their knickers in a twist It's my preference that less is more.

"Would one of the gents who prefers a woman to look natural mind saying what natural looks like. I'm no expert..but personally I dont think that whole pout thing is particularly attractive..but it seems to be very popular. Ok, is it just lips that you don't like to see enhanced? I sense that's a leading question Personally I prefer natural boobs to enhanced ones It is leading in the sense that I'm always looking to understand, I'm not trying to lead you into some sort of trap a la Kier with Boris at question time " I think women are under tremendous pressure to look perfect all the time.

"Mr B is not a fan, calls it false advertising. I just love the false advertising line What are people advertising exactly? (I hear it against myself re makeup. And honey - not aimed at anyone in particular - if you think my eyelids are actually glittery gold, I'm not really the one with the problem) They're not real gold?? I am totally shocked! And here i was saving up to get mine done..." I could run to one colour but not as many as I do

Tbh I don't look that closely. (And I have been told I'm wearing mascara when I'm not) When I was younger a man told me I should wear make up. " We should start telling men that if they want such strong opinions about faces they can apply it to the makeup they wear themselves

I'm so thankful for modern medicine. Do you set airport scanners off? I don't and I'm very disappointed about that, I wanted to be all dramatic explaining how brave I am to security guards

I'm quite literal so natural where looks are concerned to me means just as you would be if you did nothing at all.

Yeah I think that's true in many ways. I don't feel that pressure too much myself but I am very conscious that I have way more hair on my body than a lot of women and although I don't remove it there are times that I'm tempted to. I can understand why a woman would modify her body to fit in.

I took notice, bless his heart he thought he was doing me a favour advising me how to be more attractive to men, despite knowing I was in a relationship. God knows how I managed to secure a man what with my bare face and all.
