Ohhhh I have not heard of someone liking him but not the boosh.
He is also amazing in the big fat quiz of the year.

I'm with you OP.
The Mighty Boosh was garbage, surreality for the sake of it does not make good humour.
He is also largely responsible for the demise of Buzzcocks. |

He is a bit of a strange character for sure. I believe he thinks he is funny. I don't find him to be so however. And him coupled with Matt Lucas this year on the bake off. 
It just wasn't funny. |

As always humour is highly subjective.
I find him funny, but then I always have found surreal comedy hits my funny bone.
On the other hand I can't stand the likes of Mrs Brown's Boys, Last of the Summer Wine.

When you remember Mel and Sue how they’re empathetic, stood up to the judges and offered support. These two just don’t do it for me, Matt just turns up saying something weird and walks off. Noel isn’t too bad but they don’t have that connection in my opinion  |

I didn’t know much about him before Bake Off but his on screen persona is very attractive. He's the kind of man I'd like to know. To me there seems to be a genuine connection between him and Matt Lucas. I'm aware that what I see in screen might not reflect reality though  |

It's like Vic Reeves Big Night Out, I genuinely find that show laugh out loud funny. A really good mate just doesn't get it.
Ultimately it's how your heads wired. I genuinely worry about anyone who finds The Golden Girls funny... |

He has a guest spot on an episode of Shooting Stars (funniest programme ever)!!..Series 6/episode 6..seems like a decent enough guy..but that particular episode is worth watching on YouTube for the sketch with Vic and Bob about Batman..funny as f**k..!!!

Tried to get into the Mighty Boosh as normally like this type if thing but not so far.
Like him a lot in the IT Crowd and 8 out of 10 Cats and Does Countdown.
Not been watching Bake Off - perhaps people are getting bored with too many cooking shows. Seem to be beneath our Noel. |

Omg he is so different to those mentioned, he is in the same league as Russel brand in the early years,....he understands dry witt and humour....michael macintyre is just family comedy in my opinion,...remains safe for family viewing, annoys me when comedians do this  "
Not saying their comedy bis similar just that they come across as they think they're funny, good example of this is Jonathan Ross, as funny as a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! |

My brothers worked with him a few times and reckons he's pretty funny even when he's not trying to be. He even painted a couple of plates and gave them to bro as a present.
Personally I think he's funny also.

I never really thought much of him ... then I saw him do the fly sketch and I was crying it was so silly/funny. The suggestive stuff hes said on tgbbo has had me blurt-laughing - yup I like him xx |
