Depends on your needs - are you going for aesthetics, durability, pain levels etc.
Personally I love traditional Chinese nipple clamps, the bamboo ones. They look pretty and you can regulate how hard they pinch - they look good with shibari due to the natural product they're made from.
If you want durability and looking to push pain thresholds, then go for the adjustable metal ones - I like to have various to hand.
Crocodile clips are also excellent, but for the more advanced play partner |

I have several sets of clamps and some of them don’t grip very hard - the best ones I have feature a aerated edge.
I love plastic clothes pegs just as much to be honest but my favourites are Lovehoney basics Nipple Suckers.

Before I got pierced I used serated ones. Mostly from just taking the rubber tips off normal ones. |
