Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's been a beautiful day here in my bit of London. The sun shone. It was warm enough to go out without a coat. My fried egg sandwich was perfect. It's home-made steak pie for dinner later.

Give me your positively positives to keep this vibe going.

Not much happening as everyone in the house is busy doing their own thing. I’m sat here indulgently daydreaming whilst listening to a Tango playlist on Spotify. I’m imagining being cheek to cheek with a man who knows how to dance.

Not much happening is good in the current circumstances.

Daydreaming of a sizzling tango sounds luscious. Thank you for sharing that image.

We took the positive vibe and opportunity to go out for a countryside walk - turned out to be quite muddy but good fun.

It's the countryside - where muddy is fun.

Watched a pretty good game of football... baked a really nice loaf of bread and had a walk in the late afternoon sun.

My two year old grandson has helped decorate the Christmas tree and put the star on the top

His smile and giggles as he did it melted my heart

I went for a fantastic walk this morning in the sunshine, saw a beautiful double rainbow too, came home and made roast beef dinner followed by a generous helping of lemon tart.

Appreciating the simple things in life.

Redditch

Had a nice lie in, because why kit ? Then went for a run this morning with brother and my nephew in his buggy.

This afternoon I planted a load of spring bulbs in the garden, which is daft because if everything plays out as I'd like it to I won't be here in the spring - and this evening I've had a long soak on the bath and will do some work in a while.

Probably ought to eat something at some point, too

Stayed dry, even sorting out the animals.

Got to watch a full uninterrupted game of rugby for the first time in ages.

Stuffed my face with cheese on toast.

The dog hasn't jumped on my balls so far today.

Life is good.

Mum hasn't been at all well recently

I took her for a CT Scan this morning

On the way home, she said she felt well enough to go to the supermarket

She hasn't been out for months other than hospital visits

It was lovely to see her enthuse and fill her basket with goodies and to treat herself to a new top

I have learnt to derive pleasure from the simplest of things and things that many of us take for granted
