Brunette, boring but I've spent so many years bleaching my hair that I now don't like the colour it comes through naturally and it's too porous to hold bright, vibrant colours. |

I have to dye mine or it would be grey
Just boring dark brown for now.
I'm considering putting lighter bits in the ends - my hair is massive - it's probably a job for a hairdresser. |

Put it in ponytails then put another band where you want the dye/ bleach to stop.
If you don't want it to have a harsh line, backcomb the hair so it's messed up and then put the dye/ bleach on. Dabble the dye/ bleach on with your fingers so it's uneven, kind of feathery.
YouTube has great tutorials. |

"No sadly. I've got a few boxes of different dyes from during the lockdown 1.0 when I really wanted to go a particular shade but chickened out. "
There's always time |

"Mine is currently pillowbox red. What's yours?"
Absolutely. I’m almost completely grey if I don’t - and not the ‘nice’ grey. I dye it a ‘realistic’ (I hope) red.
Whilst I love vibrant, artificial (ie blue, pink, purple etc) colours on others - I really don’t think they’d suit me. |

That's fair enough I do have a love of the artificial colours. That and stripes |

Nope. I stopped colouring my hair 18 months ago. It’s still quite dark brown with grey/white natural highlights. Unfortunately I still have a bit of blonde highlights left to grow/cut out so my ends can look lighter in certain light. |

I've got a couple of different colours on mine. 'Blended' to kind of mix in. |

Chatting to lady in post office yesterday with dyed red hair. I was instantly attracted to her but not sure if it was because she had red hair or that she had dyed it.... |

Yes. My roots are my natural colour. My ends are currently a dark red. They're usually bright red but I darkened it to be more wedding suitable as I was due to be maid of honour for my best friend. However the wedding has now been postponed and lockdown has prevented me from changing it back. |

That's a shame hopefully once lockdown ends the brightness will return |

I used to dye all of my hair my natural colour (med brown) but my temples grow back white after my pregnancy so I've recently had low lights and that diffuses it so the roots are not so obvious.
embracing the grey slowly |
