A question for Southern Fabbers - Gravy

As it's a staple food up in the North (especially after around five pints of beer), which of our Southern fab community has never eaten chips and gravy?

Is it something that disgusts you or you think is weird!

As a Southerner living up north, the Northerners are right! Chips, cheese and gravy is beautiful!

Cheeseville, Somerset

Plenty of gravy consumed down our way. Roasts obviously but chips, cheese & gravy too.

I guess we're reasonable southern.

It’s only called Jus in pretentious Gastro-pubs and trendy eateries opened by bankers who escaped the rat race before they got caught embezzling and thought being a restaurateur would be a doddle.

It’s fucking gravy.

are we talking bisto type gravy?

Manky!

Salt, vinegar , mayo and ketchup is the way forward for chips.

In Nepal they have Belgian chips and dips - gravy isn't one of them

There and to the left a bit

Now it's an "it depends" for me - the thought of chips and gravy on their own is a no from me - but for example meat pie and chips with gravy would be a yes

I’m not against the idea of gravy, in fact it sounds quite nice, but in a world where chip shop curry sauce is on offer, why would you choose anything else
