I have no desire to be that old anyway but these were all really active citizens. Most of the elderly I know are not in such good shape.
I'll be watching the programme on working in your 70s tomorrow. That raises all sorts of interesting debates in my mind, particularly with youth unemployment as high as it is. |

My granny lived till she was 102 yrs old and she was feisty and compos mentis till the end.
I'd hope to be put down if my mind went gaga before the rest of me failed. |

It's not length of life though is it? it's quality of life. If I was pain free and happy then fine, but if how I feel now some days is any clue to how I'll feel at 70, 80...etc, then No way! |
