We have not been on here that long.. And were wondering what the etiquette was for "winks". If we send a message in response to a winks we have received is it reasonable to expect a common decency message back. Even if it's just a "no thanks". We understood a wink to mean people are interested in us in the first place ? |

I'm with you guys I only wink on the rare occasion but if I do it's because I'm interested. I tend to send a message if I receive a wink but not always get a reply. |

I occasionally wink back if I receive a wink and the profile interests me a little....if I receive a message back from that, then I will respond (assuming they've included a joke n face pic as requested in my profile), if nothing comes back, I'm rarely bothered as I hadn't had to expend too much energy in winking in the first place |

"Everyone is different. But I dont even look at them. Every once in a while I will bulk delete them, but never check them"
I think it's different for us guys - we hardly get flooded with winks |

I hardly ever look at winks as I spend more than enough time dealing with messages. Besides I would rather look for people I like rather than just take what is offered to me. |

"My profile states that if you send me a wink and I will wink back if I am interested."
I guess guys get way less than others. To me it's a polite way of indicating interest - nothing more! I'll tend to message - but if the profile isn't one that says 'wink and get blocked' - I see it as nothing more than a 'smile across a bar' ice breaker!
Harmless, yet for some reason often seen as either rude or lazy!! |

I use the wink option a lot more than I do messages as I have very little time when I first joined I tailormade numerous messages to profiles I liked (1 each) for very little in return so I now wink to indicate I like what I've seen and read and am iviting you to read my profile to see if finding out more about each other is something they would be interested in |
