I've happened to see The Canonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit in the last week or so and I realised they're really cheesy but brilliant at the same time!!
Anyone else got any films they think of as crap but great or as a guilty pleasure? (Keep it clean people!) |

Who Dares Wins!
Lewis Collins is a dish in those days, and much better than Martin Shaw in the Professionals IMHO!
I was one of the few girls in my house who fancied LC instead of MS! |

I'm confused, wasn't this supposed to be about films that were bad but watched as a guilty pleasure? Most of the films mentioned are genuine classics and you'd be a film heathen if you didn't like them. |

Whilst you could argue that - even if the vast majority of critical opinion says those films are classics - people are posting that they love a film because it's brilliant..... which seems to be missing the point.
One of my guilty pleasure films is Arena - a 1980's film about alien martial arts fighting where a human competes but the organisers conspire to rig the fight against the puny human. Also Robot Jox about countries settling territorial disputes with enormous mech-warrior fights.
Neither are genuinely great films but I've always liked them regardless. |
