I had this nagging doubt about a potential playmate, as he comes across as rather too controlling in some of his communications.
I voiced my concerns, and next thing I know, I am off his "Friends" list and he did not bother to reply.
Nevermind, better this way than to make a bigger mistake later!
Another potential playmate says it is difficult for him to fit me etc...
So back to the drawing board I go! |

Well done Jo at least your sussing them out so only meeting people that you will get on with.
Having had experience of not listening to my instinct a few times and not having the best of meets, your absolutely right, and doing the right thing!!
Plenty more nice guys to meet I'm sure! I'd say good luck but sure you don't need it! |

It is kind of a shame, as he does tick quite a few of the right boxes.
It now leaves a void in my schedule.
Anyone free on Fri 30 Oct 09?
Serious offers only, and normal vetting process applies |

Thats why I like MSN or the phone, get to know a little about someone first, get nagged a bit to have meets straight off but for me a bit of conversation goes a long way to discovering if you are going to 'hit it off' xx xx |

I have chatted to him on MSN (he did not like that as a medium), and on the phone, and he ticked a lot of the boxes, nevermind |

With you on this one Razzle, I have to speak to someone on the phone first - gives both parties the chance to decide whether they still want to meet up

If it's any consolation I have had three unique meets that flopped even though all of them had excellent phone conversations involved
I even wasted some annual leave for one of them... arg! |

"I always go with my instint. Ive cancelled so many guys at the final hurdle cause something just doesnt seem right."
I cancel them on the first hurdle. Fancy either party going through reams of shit just to be cancelled at the last hurdle! Ones I never answer - and I don't care who calls me uppity - are those that call me 'hun' 'babe' 'sexy' or any other stupid condescending pet name in an initial greeting.

Yes but im talking about the ones that tick all the boxes and every thing seems fine until right at the last minute they do or say something that makes me change my mind. So unless someone is going to give me a crystal ball i dont know they are going to fuck it up at the last minute. |

Seriously we have this thing called intuition and I don't think some of us use it nearly enough,if we did there would'nt be half as many moans and groans and kicking ourselves for not listening to it
I have and will always follow mine,it very rarely lets me down |

Gawd D/S .... what do they do ? I'm REALLY interested. I have this image of them speaking eloquently, having the looks of Mr. Darcy.... offering you turkish delight on a cushion ... quaffing you with champagne and promising kisses all over ...... then making the fifth phone call from the kazi during a very audible thunderous episode of the shites..... either that or they send pics that look like Jack in the shining replete with hatchets!!
What one thing could possibly put you off a man that ticked ALL the boxes.
I uhmmmm ( cough ) hate to admit it publicly ..... but even I'M not perfect. |

Ok heres one example. Chatting to a nice guy he had mentioned he was vegan carried on chatting very nice, had decided we would like to meet over the cause of a couple of weeks. He rang to make final arrangements then dropped the bomb shell that he would prefer me not to wear makeup or perfume and that he prefered the "natural" smell. Well im not up on being a vegan but i don know you can get enough products that arnt tested on animals. So i guessed he was going to be a smelly git.
One guy when we arranged a meet then told me the next time we met i could go and stay with him and his wife. I hadnt even met him for the first time. Oh theres loads that put me off at the last minute |

Both of those would put me off !! I make it a policy of asking up front if they are married. Wouldn't dawn on me that a vegan wouldn't want someone to wear makeup .. I'd wear the make up n let him kiss my arse |
