Hi all... I'm just wondering if any of you have had laser hair removal and if so how was it? Has it lasted? I'm in the Midlands so if anyone could recommend a salon which they have used that would be really good. |

I have had laser on my underarms and bikkini area.
It is not unpainful! But it is a tolerable pain level.
I had 4 sessions on each area, as you can't get full results with fewer sessions.
Sessions are very expensive if done in a professional beauty salon so save your pennies.
2 years on from my last laser session I stil have some hair remaining, but it isn't much and a quick go over with a razor every week is managable.
I may have another session once the salons reopen after lockdown.
Hope that helps. |

Yes I had my shoulders done last summer through a groupon deal where I paid something like £60 for 6 sessions!
I couldn't turn down a deal like that.
The treatment hurts a little but not as bad as a tattoo, for example. It's been largely effective but my shoulders weren't too hairy to begin with. For a hairier area (!) you'd need more than six sessions.
Only downside is it does not stop non-pigmented hairs from continuing to grow, so if you're all white it won't work.
Oh there is one more downside - during the treatment period you cannot be exposed to UV, so no sunbathing or sunbeds, which is a pisser if it's the summer as I discovered to my cost |

I had it done all over (bikini, underarm, legs) It is very pricey but worth it.
Dark hair & pale skin works best. Had more than the 7 sessions/area. If the hair bothers you, its sooooo worth it.

Had it done here below this year (either side of lockdown) - for best results get your technician to turn up the power as much as you can manage (without getting burned!) - as the first low power sessions seemed to do very little..having said that - still have a few fine hairs that I'd love to be rid of - did post a seperate topic on this - wanting to know if I will need to get these ones done via electrolysis - or if more laser sessions should do it (even though they are finer hairs)? |

This is a favourite topic on any Trans women website as it's important to us...
I am super lucky in that being Oriental I'm smooth as silk but I have had some work done on my face which didn't take long as there wasn't much to do...
Hopefully some TV/TS in your area will spot this thread and offer you recommendations... |

I haven't done it yet and I pay about 80 bucks a month to get waxed . I could of paid for it about 5 times by now. But I've asked my Spa about it and they do it. They told me it feels no worse than a rubber-band snapping probaly why I've held off. It takes around 6 treatments . You could maybe try your underarms to see how you do. Let me know because I think I'm just going to finally go ahead too. Good Luck. |
