He was such a good man. Fun personality , great sense of humour, self depreciating all round entertainer , in the Brucie mold if you like.
He did become old hat in the later years tho but that's mainly because he was old hat...

I had this exact conversation that normally a year goes by and you hear of deaths but this year has hit home that we're all not getting any younger as it's been I know him I know her etc |

Beat me to it, they would mercilessly mock his singing and he was such a good sport about it.
A handsome (and he was a good singer) man with humour and humility, no scandalous stories about him, either.

I saw him on stage in Scarborough over forty years ago,one of those sea side variety shows, seem to remember it was a packed house,he was very popular back then. |

Got a text from a friend saying he'd died and it had come from his agent but I hadn't personally seen it myself, I have now. |
