John Hays, founder of North East travel company Hays Travel has died suddenly of a heart attack.

Hays Travel, already well known in the North East, catapulted to prominence when the husband and wife owners bought Thomas Cook, saving 2,000+ jobs nationally.

True what they say - you never know what's around the next corner, make the most of the here and now...

Very sad saw them on the news after the Thomas Cook stuff they seem like genuine people who give a shit about their staff.
