So it seems there are a lot of women who really don't like the word "panties". That's fair enough, although it doesn't bother me and in fact I find it quite cute.
As a word to describe a woman's undergarments it's surely much better than "knickers" isn't it?
I mean knickers ... come on! It sounds like it's from a Carry On film.
I can't use that word and keep a straight face, let alone an erection. 
Aren't there any suitable alternatives? Briefs I suppose, but it's hardly sexy. More an M&S description. There's drawers too, but that's even more old fashioned than knickers.
Unless there's something better I'm going to stick with panties, and tough shit if you don't like it.  |

I agree with you.
I don't like calling them knickers, and am not keen on the word panties either, but do use that term as I prefer it unless I am wearing a thong, as that sounds sexier than the alternatives.

I don't think you should be mentioning a ladies smalls unless you are well acquainted 
But, if you must, some alternatives are unmentionables, undies and pantaloons.
The term 'knickerless' is better than 'pantyless'. |

I'm not sure what panties should be as they call trousers pants so does that mean that panties are just trousers with frilly bits around the bottom and arse areas?

Pants is easiest..there are just too many types... Brazilian, shape wear, bikini, high leg.
