When visible my profile states, without ambiguity the type of person I'm looking for and what I'm offering. For the hard of understanding I underpin with I won't reply to anyone outwith what I'm looking for: and I don't!
Everyone who meets what I'm looking for receives a message: works for me. |

I simply wouldn't have the time.
I get over 200 a day 
All one liners and asking for meet are deleted.
No pics - delete
Not verified - delete
Chit chat (how's you, nice pics) - delete
Those who take the time to write a nice message I reply to

We respond to some and delete others.
It's a bit like if I go out wearing a green hat and someone approaches me asking "do you have a green hat?" i probably wouldn't answer. If they said "I like your green hat and would be interested in finding out more about it" I probably would.  |

I have a policy to respond to the majority of messages, but I do make exceptions. Must admit the more I’m honest about why I don’t want to meet presently with some and definitely not with others, the more abuse I’ve been getting.
So I do wonder if I should just go back to deleting them  |

Answering messages on Fab shouldn't be a chore/stressful.
Set boundaries as you do in other areas of your life. You know what you want etc if someone doesn't respect that why feel obliged to waste a nanosecond of your time? |

I generally mass delete. I scan through quickly before doing so and try to respond to ones from the forum but as my profile doesn’t invite messages then I don’t think I need to reply a no thanks as my profile already says that |

As I don't have many messages, I tend to answer all.
Exception include profile which I doubt it is real, asking for a meet now when it is very clearly stated I am out of the UK.
I suspect these are spam, so I don't reply. |

I delete the complete crap, like badly spelt one liners, nothing but a dick pic, or stupid comments. People that have sent something decent that I'm not interested in get a polite no thanks response. Ones I'm interested in get a reply obviously xx |

We always reply to messages even if it's a "thanks but it's not what we are looking for" then again we don't get much mail at all.
I can understand that for people that get 100s a day it could become difficult to do that   |

I usually reply if it requires one, messages with one or two word I check the profiles first, usually can tell the ones who have read my profile first before messaging. Others get a polite sarcasm |

Some people do push their luck. I usually have men filtered so they can’t message, but left that open during the first lockdown so I could join in forum games. Huge mistake as every man and his dog (but very few from the forums) messages and keeps on messaging with the most inane or suggestive drivel.
The reply of, “No, I don’t want my cock sucked by you” doesn’t seem to put them off. Unfortunately, it’s now a block and delete rather than just a delete |

We reply to most messages. We get drivel like anyone else, which is draining at times, particularly if you've already told them a polite no.
It seems evident that lots of people are now covid weary and are running out of conversation, or the ability to create something interesting to say, having no normal active life.

Exactly. I’m amazed by how many guys offer money to suck cock. It must be a fetish to offer cash rather than the hope it’ll sway you? I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that they’re not simply desperate |

On the rare occasion I get one. I have a hot shower, put on my best dressing gown, make a cuppa or pour a glass of wine, depending on time of day. Sit in my most comfortable chair. Put my glasses on. I treat it as an event. Get all excited, open the message to see it’s from admin - usually a forum ban. |

I only reply to messages that interests me which is stated on my profile... Less abuse that way.
Still get 2nd messages with the usual 'take that as a no then' etc but it's what works for me. |

We only reply to messages that have read our profile, and they are bi. Profile says straight, it's a delete I'm afraid, also persistent messagers, or paste and copies, no point wasting everyone's time x |
