I have seen some, what should be, gorgeous pics of, what I consider, gorgeous men, with some absolute shite in the back and foreground... Taken in the mirror, bog or other shite either side.. Zoom in and crop out the crap men, pleeeeaaaassse look at the rest of your pic before posting!! It's so half arsed |

I do love spotting the odd things in the background of some photos.
Baby toys always mystify me.

I do!
I like a tidy photo and so nearly always take care to ensure the background is distraction free before the I take it, but then crop to try and improve the framing and focus on me properly (using the rule of 3 where possible)
Still doesn't make my photos half as good as a lot on here, but at least I feel I made an effort |

I'm a little obsessed about my/our own tidy photos, I admit.
I don't mind some backgrounds, particularly if they are part of the story. Sometimes though there's just too much - a beach shot with someone in the distance... Zoom in and it's all blurry - I've no idea what they look like!
Clutter pics fascinate me

I totally get the checking out of junk n girlfriends guff n stuff and I know one of mine shows part of my bathroom wall but there are so many that you can barely see the bloke yet it is clearly meant to be showcasing him/his muscles etc but he is a small fraction of the pic and I can tell what bloody hotel he is in because I can see more of their fire safety poster, without squinting, than I can of him... And to the smart arse that mentioned my pics... Mine are cropped so the pic is almost all me... And my wall one I liked and still mostly me, thanks |

Read my last post.... It's not about what is in the background... But I take up most of the pic... The original shot was wider with more stuff that doesn't need to be in the picture as it is meant to be of me... It clearly is... Alot of mens pics, especially mirror selfies, you can barely bloody see them! |

Clutter pics - See now you are into the world of ephemera, casual/deliberate display and discard, and syntax of the photograph.
But this is Fab
Some here struggle with keeping the camera straight whilst pounding away at their privates. Others are so in love with themselves that the background fades.
I think we could broadly split it along lines of supply and demand and use that to reflect their photo production values:lots of men looking for scarce women. Men look at a picture and look for reason to go with the person and increase their opportunities - when they produce pics the backgrounds in their own pictures are irrelevant as they personally dont care about them on the pictures they see. Women/couples look at a picture for reasons to narrow down, so they become more aware (if not able) about the non-body bits in their own pics
Lots of generalisations and people who don't fit - but my two penn'orth. Still fun to see! |

Oh, I never said it was but I look at more men than women as they are trying to entice me to talk to them... Not being able to spot them amongst the rest of the pic makes that quite difficult... Not always bumpf, just too much pic, not enough bloke! |

Yeah, sorry, I'd posted that before you clarified it.
It was just that when your original post said "...with some absolute shite in the back and foreground...", I thought you were having an issue with that clutter being in the photo, rather than just the fact that it takes up most of the photo.
