There and to the left a bit |
Sometimes the non-sexual touches say so much more - that natural and instinctive reaching for someone's hand, or a touch of their thigh, even a stolen glance or smile
And yes in the current world a hug or a handshake with friends and loved ones is missed - the awkwardness of standing knowing you usually would but you can't do those natural and instinctive things is palpable. |

To be honest no i don't. I was never in the habit of hugging or shaking hands with friends although i still have alot of physical contact with people i care for at work so guess i am luckier than most. |

^^This^^ also. And, personally, I find it odd when someone I've just met wants to shake my hand. |

"Who else is missing the simple things like hugging friends and shaking hands with people?
I look forward to the day when you can do this again

100%. I'm a tactile person so limited to hugging my sister and nephews ATM. Not hugged my mum since March either.
And as much as I love female contact I'm not ashamed to say there'll be some awkward man hugs with my male buddies when all this blows over (closely followed by a dead arm to show I'm not a big wuss ). |

Hand shaking is for UK business. I'm more comfortable with the European two/three cheek kissing and great big hugs.
A hello is just not the same these days

I didn't realise how much we take it all for granted. While watching tv shows where people normally hug each other e.g. Naked Attraction I couldn't work out why I felt something was wrong, then realised it seemed very alien because there was no physical contact.

I love hugs, i am a giver, if someone looks like they need a hug they get one.
Hugs make the worst kind of situation a little better knowing that someone cares enough to put their arms around you..
To me it shows you care. |
