Hi does anyone know any free apps for watching free TV on mobile or tablets? I have downloaded the freeview app but for some reason although it shows numerous channels seemingly available I can only watch BBC1/2. I'm based in Greater London if that makes any difference. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks |

You can get apps for the main TV channels:
iPlayer (BBC but you would need a TV licence)
ITV Hub
all4
my5
There's also TVPlayer which gives you the main TV channels and a few others (has a paid for option also) and plutoTV which is free TV.
UKTV Player is available for programmes from some of the other Freeview channels.
Anything involving the BBC would require a TV licence. |

Thanks I have checked most of the above. But I just can't understand why I can only see only BBC1/2 on freeview. As for plutotv I've even downloaded that but it seems to have a mind of it's own and only plays what it wants to show. I can't find a search tab to look for what I want.
Licence number:3990380609 Licence expiry date:31 May 2021
Just to show I'm Upton date with my licence |

There and to the left a bit |
According to the Freeview site:
You'll need a minimum internet connection of 2Mbps and all the associated channel apps – which are BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and UKTV Play.
Do you have those apps? And if so can you view those channels using those apps? If so you don't really need Freeview - just watch through those apps surely? |

I can't help with the original question but I would delete this comment if I was you OP, your TV licence number relates back to personal details. |
