Yes they can be a mare.
Yes, holding up a pile of straps covered in fluff and lace can be quite daunting as you try to figure what goes through where to get into it.
Is it too much to bother with?

Years ago my then girlfriend was a lot younger than me (18 to my 34) and she turned up at mine one day ina long coat with a basque, stockings and suspenders underneath.
All very nice, greatly appreciated and fun time was had
It was only afterwards she told me she'd had to get her mum help her into it all
I had wondered why her mum gave me a few sideways looks.... |

The first time I put my body harness on it took forever to get on. Because there were so many straps to adjust to make it fit perfectly. But that's also some of the fun, put some music on get dressed it's all part of getting into the mood of what's to come  |
