Just got into bed. Have been burning the midnight oil trying to fix bugs and add new features to a 10 million line piece of software that has been growing over the last 25 years with bits added to it by dozens of different people of varying levels of (in)competence. To paraphrase Baldrick "it's more complicated than a complicated thing that is very complicated".

3.30 am reached the stage that it's broken and refusing to do anything... Time for bed with a nice mug of Horlicks.
