Has anybody seen this short clip of a lady in her 70ies, I guess? She was a Ballerina in the 1960s and became ill with Dementia over the last few years.
Google it - I am not sure if are allowed to post links on here but you will find her under "Former Ballerina with Dementia"
It is a very moving clip showing how despite the memory loss her former dance moves are coming back to her when she hears the music from Swan Lake. |

"It is lovely and shows that they are still there inside, even if they struggle to remember or communicate in the present. "
I found it really moving, happy and sad in a way. And isnt she still just beautiful and graceful.... |

"Yes, saw it on the Book of Face - very moving. Reminded me of my Granny in her final months  "
That is where I saw it first yesterday - I shared it with a fair few people and everybody, old and young, said it made their day. |

Sounds so tragic and moving. I'll take a look. Our memories are still theorised to be stored in different places/ways, with distinction between short and long term memories.
Music and smells etc are really good prompts for us to recall memories, probably as seen with this lovely woman. |

I'd not cried for over a week which is ages for me, it had me a good un in the sniffle stakes |

Depends on how I’m sitting. A back one becomes a front one as it decides to use my vertical lips as an escape route  |

Google ' Black daisies for the Bride' it was produced by Ch4 twenty years ago at High Royds Hospital once one of the largest mental hospitals in the UK. It tells the story of three patients lives in verse, song and video. Well worth watching! |
