Sunday again and cant you see.
That bloody Mondays following me.
Its always there throughout the week,
hiding,plotting so to speak.
It creeps around the bloody days,then upon you the bastard preys.
And then its Monday morn once more,
A working day oh what a chore
I really am most sick of it that bloody days a feckin tit.

the somg i can't stand mondays was from the boomtown rats, and caused some major issue's as it was about the shooting of kids at a school in america, and the person who did it when asked why said " i can't stand mondays" |

But mum and dad are fighting don't they ever stop,
She take down her coat and walks out on the street,
It's cold on that road, but it's got that home beat,
Deep down in her pockets she finds 50p.,
Now is that any way for a young girl to be,
"I'm gonna get out of school work in some factory,
Work all the hours God gave me get myself a little easy money"
Now, now, now na na.
Her mind's made up, she walks down the road,
Her hands in her pockets, coat buttoned 'gainst the cold,
She finds Billy down at the Italion cafe
And when he's d*unk it's hard to understand what Billy says
But then he mumbles in his coffee and suddenly roars,
"It's a rat trap Judy; and we've been caught...."

as you can see the line you came up with was the closing line in the song lol, but if you asked 100 people it would probably be the line they all remember |

The fun has gone out of the job, told my boss last week, and that I now live for the weekends.
Hopefully the fun will return, otherwise I shall seek a new playground!  |

He wrote rat trap whilst working in an abatour. Dont like mondays, written about brenda spencer. Looking after number one i think was there first hit but not sure if mary of the forth form was actually released first
