C is a very keen gardener, and my main contribution to the whole affair has been to put up a few bird feeders.
I love sitting in the lounge and watching all the birds come in, we get wood pigeons, sparrows, blackbirds, wrens, bluetits and magpies...in fact as I type this a pair of magpies are squawking their heads off.
It's better than the telly! |

There's a field of barley behind my house and it's lovely to see the swallows swooping and diving over it. A couple of pairs nest in my outbuilding every year and they dart out at head height....fun when standing outside! |
