As you might of known. I updated my status about it too then, but 2 days ago I was out relaxing on the bench doing german duolingo then a cat jumped up to join me, the cat rubbed their head on my arm. I enjoyed the moment, it have happened before as well with other cats. I looked up what it means, it is one of the signs showing that they like you, have it happened to you too? |

Cat behaviour is quite fascinating, always been fascinated by animal behaviour. I've a Maine Coon cross and have learnt it's moods very simply by its behaviour. |

One of my cats will rub his face in mine or if I’m sweaty my armpit/ my dirty clothes, but it’s all to do with pheromones as for a cat, their face is where they’re produced.
My other cat just likes the odd stroke but dentists being picked up. They have their own different personalities. |

The neighbours cat will always approach me when I leave the house, he runs up, tail high meowing and nuzzles my hand as I stroke him, I don't know his name but he is jet black and fluffy. I call him 'Floofy cat'
All is well until my cat (Nortie Tortie named T-Bag) spies him and gives him a a clobber |

I work from home, and I’ve noticed that my Maine Coon jumps on the desk and lays across the paperwork when she wants affection.
Not sure if it’s affection or pure bloody-mindedness, but I like it. |

We have a Maine coon cross, he has a completely different character to any cat I have had before the only breed that has come close for its expressiveness was a Norwegian forest cat but she was nowhere near as vocal.
He also seems to have the innate ability to find people who don’t like cats to interact with.
He will follow on dog walks until he gets bored or finds suitable quarry to stalk. |

They do indeed. I never realised how big they get. Loves the vantage point and hands his head over and dangles his front paws down and watches the world go by. |

I don’t have a cat but I borrow my neighbours cat sometimes in the evenings. She rubs her body against my legs when I stand up and when I lay on the sofa to watch tv she sits on my chest and purrs so loud!
My mums cat kinda likes me but if I’m sitting in the sofa he won’t come and sit next to me, but if my daughter sits on the sofa he sits next to her and he’ll sit next to my mother. He will rub against me but usually when I’m in the kitchen and he wants some dreamies. |

We have four kittens about five months old now, one of the boys just has to sleep as close to your face as he can, move him down cuddling your chest & he’ll just wiggle back up till his head is under your chin.
Had to chop my beard short earlier in the year as all four would nuzzle in the beard looking for a teet.
No funny comments please

Aaw! My cat 'paddles ' my arm, like kittens do to their mum's teets to stimulate milk. Also they scent mark with their paws, so she's showing that she owns me |

It's a very nice story, but if a cat jumps up next to you and rubs its head on your arm, it's pretty obvious that it likes you.
You don't need to look up what that means. |

Talking about cats my mums cat is lovely he’s not nasty at all but when my friend came back from Paris one year and she came over my Mums the cat was staring at her and growling really bad, that horrible noise they make. Was really freaky. She was like that’s the 7th animal that’s growled at her since she’d been back. She was down in the Catacombs and she reckons something attached to her! She’d normally been really good with animals but even her own cat wouldn’t go near her for ages! |

One summers evening a ginger stray cat appeared in my garden. Out i went in my shorts with a saucer of milk for the poor soul. I sat on the step and stroked it gently as it purred and rubbed itself against my legs. The next minute for no reason it pounced and bit my leg. No blood to be seen but i had 2 puncture marks where the teeth had sunk in and it was bloody sore. The next day my leg blew up like a balloon and i could hardly walk. It took a tetnus jag, 2 lots of antibiotics and a week on crutches before i was back to normal. Guess it did not like me after all. |

Sometimes cats will attack for no reason if you're petting them but not maintaining eye contact. One of the main reasons I love cats is their complete randomness But you shouldn't give cats cow's milk - it's really bad for them. |

Op, if your friend comes back, try the "slow blink". Look him/her in the eye and slowly close and open your eyes. If he/she does it back, it's a sign of trust and friendliness. If you want to get cat kisses (nose to nose) put your head down near the cat whilst stroking the back of its neck and maintaining eye contact, then break eye contact and look above its head whilst still stroking it. If it likes you, it will touch noses. |

You're lucky it's just a nose - if I don't get up quickly enough in the morning, Dave and Babiaan start to lick my face and eyelids. It's like being washed with wet sandpaper. |

Three out of the four will instigate nose bumps quite happily & won’t shy off if you go face to face an instigate them either. The other little madam is more Marlena Dietrich & keeps herself to herself outside of playing or sleeping with the others.

I have had a good number of cats that greet me outdoors, it's lovely. I'm guessing that they study you for any signs that you may be unpleasant. When they would like reassuring and contact, they find the potentially willing and screen out anyone who's perceived as hostile. |

I used to kiss our family's cat on her tiny furry forehead, and when I offer her my forehead/hairline she tends to nuzzle and groom me there too. |

It was adorable!
She'll groom my mum if she sits still long enough, but she tends to do the crown of her head instead and sometimes she'll dig her claws in to keep my mum still. Not quite as cute! |

Our neighbours have been feeding Ferals for years, about six in all, last year they had two litters & only two survived & our kids found the others. This year the neighbours died & the cats were still hanging around & we noticed two looking “Lumpy” so fed them.
Got the kids to keep an eye out & sure enough five kittens, once old enough we brought them in, decided to keep two.
Well someone must have been watching as two weeks later another new mum is bringing another batch of six to our door!
Two looked poorly so thinking they wouldn’t survive long we kept them too & eventually rehomed the rest. All with friends, two even went all the way back to Essex.
House was a bit hectic & “Where the fck have they gone now?” sometimes with eleven kittens causing havoc though. Oddly none needed litter training as soon as they were inside & saw them they used them. (had to be “them” with eleven kittens).
In the meantime we contacted cats protection & they collected the ferals, had them neutered & rehomed as pairs on local farms.
Turned out the runt & poorly one were just underfed so they are all healthy now. Runt is still half the size of the others though.

What a lovely story, they are very lucky ! We have a similar story, but we kept mummy. We were on holiday, 2 years ago and my brother text me to say that a cat with 3 kittens, had turned up in our garden, luckily we had a CPL lady living down the road. They fed them in our garden. When we got back, they were ready for separation, we kept mummy and kittens rehomed. We all think she was dumped whilst pregnant, she was very young |
