In his position he should have known the acceptable language to use so in that respect I have no sympathy.
On the other hand, this kind of response to a seemingly innocuous mistake only serves as ammunition for the anti-pc brigade. |

Heard an interview with John Barnes on the wireless earlier, he was more dismayed by the fact that the actual content of what he had to say to the committee was now being overshadowed by what he referred too as a ‘generational slip’
In other words he thought what the guy had to say was more important than the words he chose to use. |
