proud of something you have achieved, whether it was physical or professional or personal, emotional or whatever success.
Not even sure this has not been asked before...but...
What are you proud of? Can be anything... |

"Proud father of 4 at 30!!!
Next in line is probably the amount of traveling i have done compared to my lineage whos barely lest the village " Wow 4 kids by the time you were 30 is some achievement. I am referring not so much to the "production" part but to actually looking after them and keeping your sanity! Justifiably proud I d say! |

"It’s not a biggie but I’m not a fan of running but completed a 10k to raise money in my grandsons memory "
I think if you do something that is not really you, isn t really what you would choose... then that is definitely something to be proud of. And 10 k for something you are not really enjoying... I am in awe! |

I'm very proud of my 3 sons. They are becoming fine young men. They are caring, bright, respectful, compassionate and driven. I'm very proud of the fact I've raised them alone. |

"Proud of my children
Proud of my service in the Army
I’m also proud of myself for actually making it through 2019 with my sanity and mental health somewhat intact... " This so resonates with me as well... for reasons too complex to explain on here. I think pride in one's well turned out children is a biggie, isnt it? |

It is, and probably the best thing I’ve ever accomplished... but last year was an incredibly harsh time for me personally and getting through it and emerging on the other side showed I had more mental strength than I would have believed |

I'm proudest of going to medical school as a mature student and being twice the age of the others.

I’m not proud of anything I’ve done, not cause I’m down on myself, it just seems a bit self indulgent taking pride in something you’ve done, pride is something you feel for other people, who you’re close to. |

I rode 82 miles in 4 1/2 hours the day after suffering IT band damage and learning how to stretch it out the night before. Climbing up Church Street in Yaxley was THE moment for me, overtaking other riders on the climb.
A big thanks to Ks perfect fitness, over on youtube. |

In fairness, it really is about my kids having turned out to be decent, empathetic people, who stop to give the sarnie they just bought for themselves to a homeless person (just an example) and chat to them. I feel proud they are kind and caring and funny and just so loveable. Why am I proud? Well, I guess I feel I have contributed a little bit towards that moral compass. |

" Maybe for you "pride" is associated with an element of arrogance? For me it is just a glowing feeling of accomplishment against some of the odds.

Raising sons who have turned exactly into the men I wanted them to be.
Was written off at School, told I would never acheive, I am dyslexic which wasn't diagnosed until I was 42.
I now have two honours degrees and a diploma backed up with a successful career and a high repuation in my field

Having my son at 16 but still doing my A levels and uni straightaway and have a good career AND a brilliant 18yo son now.
Learning to adapt my life to acquired disability and not entirely losing the plot - pushed my myself (quite literally) to carry on working and trying to be a good parent to a newborn (second child). Praise be for wheelchairs |

Surviving 24 years in the Ambulance service and still enjoy going to work every day.
The service is very different from when I started, some for the better some for the worse.
Here is to my quarter century! |

There was no pain, that's the beauty. It only hurt on the thigh stretch for thirty seconds; after that I only rode at 80%, as I was not about to undo all the good work. Wasn't fast enough to make it to the World Championships, for my age group. Hey ho, it was a hell of an experience. Riding on closed roads was amazing. Avoiding crashes was key that day.
It's all on STRAVA!
As for the pain it was worse when I did another 82 miles charity ride/sportif, my IT band on my right leg, went and I had to ride the last 15 or so miles home on one leg.
That was just as bad as riding 100 miles to Hunstanton and back on open roads. When both IT bands went, the first (r) at 40 and the second (l) on the way back. Getting soaked 3 times didn't help, but the bandages lessened the pain.
That's the thing about cycling. If you stop: you don't get home. Simples.
I'm sure that qualifies for Rule #5 in the Velomuninatis' rule book: "Harden the Fuck up!" and Rule #10 "It doesn't get easier, you just get faster".
Worth dining out on! |

I was just thinking about when you chopped the end of your finger off in your shed. |
