What help and advice we all got " Both rather tough issues that perhaps need more of an expert to advise? Not saying don task for help but maybe ask for help as well from a professional. Hope you are ok xx |

Find those who'll support you constructively.
Work out your triggers and avoid them in most instances. If you can process them, do so with a strong safety net, ideally therapy.
Find self help techniques that work for you: I find mindfulness and resistance training most helpful for my anxiety
Be mindful of negative influences and avoid them.
Coping mechanisms: lots of them. What that means will differ for each person. |

I had counseling last year after dealing with PTSD since I was 18.
Personal advice from me - learn what your triggers are and don't think that you need to put up with them to prove a point to yourself, work through them at your own pace. There's a specific song that used to be a massive trigger to me, literally ten seconds of it and I would be gone. Right up until the start of those year. Now I can sit through it, still quite aware of it but no I'll effects. But that took me twelve years to overcome that.
Time helps and it heals but you need to heal at your own pace. |
