Pickled red cabbage is possibly a northern thing, yes

Reminders on here we need to have fajitas or enchiladas soon

Holding shape but Just starting to break up, I do them low and slow and without meat so I've not got to worry that the meat isn't cooked.

Had to play around with the size I cut them to as well.

If I want Scouse, I'll go to my Dad's. His freezer is full of home ready-meals, of which about 80% is Scouse

"Home made Cornish Pasty. I made and froze a batch last week & took one out of the freezer this morning. Having root mash and veg with it.

Oooh what goes in the pasty"

Diced beef skirt, cubed potato, cubed swede, onion, salt and pepper. I make my own pastry, too.

"I have just cooked Miso soup with fish, prawns, mushrooms, courgette, mini corn on cob, mange tout and some egg noodles.

Trying to get back on track with the diet - delicious.

Oh wow that is impressive "

Really simple though - I buy sachets of miso soup paste from Tesco. I grilled the skin on the piece of sea bass and stir fried mushrooms, courgette, mini corn on cob and mange tout. Added miso made up with hot water, king prawns, fish and a small handful of egg noodles. Left to simmer for 5 mins or so and then put in a bowl. Really filling and good flavour - you can add some chilli to it if you prefer it spicy.

None of us can fully replicate it the way Mum used to cook it..

When we were in Germany and came to visit she would always do a pan, even in summer..

Oooooo Ainsley Harriot does a good turkey burger recipe - we have one of his books that was the best 50p we ever spent on a church fête
