I've lost 3 stone over 4 months by cutting out nearly all carbs and alcohol and basically just eating healthily. Not followed any faddy diets and the weight has stayed off no problem. Good luck xx |

oooops healthy no sugar, sweet stuff cakes etc, no junk food, good home cooked meat and veg. fruit for snack and start 10 mins ex a day increasing 5 mins a day but it will come off slowly, that IS the healthy way. Sharp diets are unhealthy. |

Healthy eating & plenty of enjoyable exercise.
No quick weight loss is ever going to stay off.
Walk away from diet pills & other quick fixes from the internet they contain real drugs & can become addictive.. |

"Yep doing cardio 3 to 4 times a week mixed with strength training. Not obese by any means just around a stone to shift. I do like the odd chocolate bar now and then, just cant say no to that!"
if you are doing exercise and eating healthy maybe your body has reached its optimum weight?
maybe you cant shift it because thats what your body sould weigh? |

yes you can, opt for one of those healthy bars. Personally I go for a yoghurt instead if I want a sweet kick. |

Well, I was fast approaching 20 stones four years ago. I lost four of those in six months and the other four up to now and I'm still loosing, albeit a lot slower. Take a look at my pictures.
I'm doing it by restricting my carbohydrate intake and no, not The Atkins 'diet'. Robert Atkins was a clever man who understood the science of nutrition and marketed it to a country obsessed with weight loss. Dr Banting was the first documented bloke to understand carb metabolism in the 17th century. |

loosing weight is basic maths, burn more off then your putting in, ive always said the best way to loose weight is to do loads of exercise, i really do think its that simple, of coursed you need to eat healthy as well but just up your movment
Laxative dont work all they do is dehydrate you so you weigh lighter on the scales but as soon as you drink your body recovers the fluid you have lost, all laxative do are empty your bowels but by the time the food gets to your bowels all the cals have already been taken, so its not a road worth going down |

i actually find that works, i go to slimming world and i noticed that the weeks i had the better weight losses was the weeks i drank more water
You still need to watch what you eat tho you cant have a fish supper every night with a pint of water and loose weight but water really does work |

Cut out sugar, especially crap like fizzy pop, don't be totally obsessed with cutting fat, sugar and simple carbs ( I.E. Bread not made from wholemeal flour, same with pasta) are the biggest culprits. That's why low fat shite is just that, shite, as they are packed with sugar and salt so will probably be worse for weight gain and general health than the full fat ones!
In fact just steer clear of any processed food and you'll be fine
Eat oats, they keep you full longer as they release very slowly.

+1 - the generally accepted way now is watch out for all hidden sugars in food and cut them down as much as possible. Corn syrup is in just about any processed food (from drinks to spag bol!!) and compared to the increase in obesity, the inclusion of it is the one thing which runs in parallel.
I did Atkins about 10 years ago, and it works in the short term but as soon as you start going back on a 'normal diet' everything comes back on..

I had to do a pre op diet before going into hospital and lost 9lbs in a week. It was a hellish week but the diet consisted of:
1/2 pint of skimmed milk a day (for tea and/or coffee)
Unlimited no fat yoghurt
1 sugar free jelly a day
Unlimited bovril/bouillon
Lots of water
Do not do this diet for more than a week! |

Is that it? I cant see myself losing that much, suppose the bigger you are the more you lose?

Pork and I fell out and split in Feb and in that time i lost 2 stone....A woman scorned lol !! But not a good way of losing weight at all. Now are we are back and stronger than ever, i am keeping the weight off and exercising more..... But of course having sex burns more calories than a walk in the park so get yourself lots and lots of fun !!!
Here's something to put on your fridge.... One jaffa cake takes 3 miles of walking to burn it off..... |

the best way ive found to lose weight is cutting out bread and sugar, I do a lot of training and these too alone help keep the weight on, if you have a balanced diet, and do some exercise you will find you will gradually lose it, to lose it quicker, you are best of going to the gym 3/4 times a week and doing cadio. if you want a small program to help you, mail me and ill see if i can help |

That is better than my suggestion, I was thinking if OP was pushed for time and wanted a kick start? Your method is better long term. |
