I cant stand the show

It's also compleatly staged and not a true reflection

It wrongly suggests that larger people eat more or too much or smaller less/ not enough

I think its repeated daily on fab this simply isnt true

Many slender people eat lots more than many who are larger

Everyone is different

This, my weight is mainly due to PCOS, I have just come off the pill which controls it, because the pill side effects are worse than the PCOS, but had to accept by doing so I will gain weight, which I have

I have lived with 2 slim men in my exes and can 100% vouch they ate alot worse than I do

Yes i agree it is probably staged but can also be educational to those who are trying to lose weight. Much worse stuff on the television to watch.

It was on years ago right?

It was one of the first 'reality ' type programmes on weightloss apart from 'The Biggest Loser ' which was fake beyond belief.

But both programmes were entertaining.

Must admit I do find it all a bit cringe due to the staged element .

Hopefully others realise that just because people are small or skinny , doesn’t mean they are healthy

Much worse indeed very true

Educational for weight loss less so

Many just watch for extreme vision not to learn anything

It's also an utterly diabolical concept to suggest ANYONE dramatically change their diet the way they do

The body/ stomach needs time to adapt to volume and nutrition changes

And its awfull if a clean water is forced to eat the utter shite they often are requested to do

I'm sure they dont really but its suggested they do

Sadly I think its wrongly viewed as a finger pointing freak show not as a health advice show

I have a friend she is really thin has 5 kids eats non stop ,takeaways & junk food. Never puts weight on. I could honestly say I wouldn't even eat a quarter of what she eats. I just look at food & I put it on. Everyone is different unfortunately some people try & never lose weight. That's why it really annoys me when some people pass comment on people that carry extra pounds ,that they eat too much or they're lazy when they actually can't help the weight. Some people are so ignorant & lack understanding or compassion for others.

As someone who is supersize i am constantly being judged when out and about by strangers who have no idea of me.

I hate eating in public and wont do it, very reluctant to even eat in front of friends and they know me. I could be drinking a diet and people would be thinking 'haha bit to late for that'

It might be paranoia, but i have always felt like a bit of a taboo to society because of my size and appearance. I feel like i am constantly the shit on the shoe of the NHS etc..

I have a perfectly healthy young child who is active and id never EVER wish my entire life and battles with myself on even my worst nightmare.

I have health conditions that wont bore you, i dont eat a perfect diet but id love to find someone who truly does. I have an active job and actually for a good few years blogged all my food. Ive been a member of slimming world most of my adult life. I understand what health food is and what a healthy mentality should be towards food is. I was diagnosed with OCD and an eating disorder (yes FAT people can have eating disorders) because i was weighing 8-15 times a day and writing everything down. My relationship with food was toxic and id starve myself if i was bad.

Nothing is simple.. i envy those with a healthier body than my own. I detest people who say 'eat less, move more' as from years and years of trying in my situation this just does not work. Yes i totally understand calorie deficit..

Anyways all this aside, recently i have just decided to accept this is me, those who know me matter and dont give a shit about my appearence, and those who dont know me and spout horrible opinions they dont matter to me.

I have one body, i have one life. I have to live it and i am sick through my teeth of being down and sad. I will embrace every inch of my wobbly body. If people dont like it,, they dont have to look.

I love me.. I am enough

Sorry for the ramble

It doesn’t allow for people like me who basically eat what they like and don’t put on weight, then other people who only have to look at food to put on weight, everyone’s got a different metabolism, the rate at which we burn food.

I know a couple of blokes who have fast metabolisms and can't gain weight. They hate being skinny (their words).

I feel less self conscious when I'm bigger. I couldn't give a shit if people stare when I'm eating a burger/ whatever.

People (colleagues, not strangers) comment on what I eat when I've some lost weight. "You won't stay slim eating that!"

Yeah fuck off or I'll eat you too....

I have very petite female friends who are desperate to gain some weight also and are constantly being told 'you need a good meal in you'... yet they could eat more than me..

I have always struggled with my weight

I come from a family of shorter people who carry weight

I also like stuff I shouldn't, like pies and butties

I also don't exercise as much as I should, but I'm far from lazy / inactive

I don't think it's a case of one thing or the other

I think genetics, diet & exercise all play a part

I'm interested in things about weightloss I always have been as I've always struggled with my weight.

Supersize vs Superskinny and The Biggest Loser etc should be taken for what they are - 'entertaining ' reality TV.

So will settle for happy & in need of an elasticated waistband

Same here. I am interested in dieting in general and I like the info they give and also it is fun to see when they are trying to eat eachothers portion sizes and then the result at the end of the program to see their progress they have done there

We all have different body shapes and there is somebody for everyone. It would be boring if we were all the same.
