I am motionless
while you capture me.
Locked in a frozen prison
While your eyes dart over my form.
Static.
Helpless.
Transfixed for a moment of time.
My mind is the only part
of me that can wander.
My body is bound,
Without restraints,
Only your will.
What are you seeing?
Merely shapes?
Lines you make on a page?
Or the woman in front of you!
The muse,
Longing for her Artist.

Thanks! my muse struck in the middle of the night a couple of days ago.
When inspiration strikes, always best to act on it then and there "
I did! I had to get out of bed at 4am, go downstairs to find a notepad and pencil & write it down while the main parts were strongly in my mind, or I knew I would have forgotten it all again come the morning.
I then couldn't get back to sleep until I finished it!
I have since bought a notepad to keep beside my bed in case my muse visits me again during the night! |

I did similar when I was in my story writing phase. Creative impulse must be harnessed. |
