I have been there and we are still friends, it took a long time for things to feel normal again and was a bit awkward for a while but we both got there in the end.

I’m kind of sat on the fence with this.

Been in the situation, was actually on holiday with a group of friends at the time and we actually became closer for the rest of the holiday but then after the holiday it became a bit awkward and we now barely speak. Not sure if that may be the reason why?

Depe do if there are any feelings involved I suppose. I had a best mate and we done everything together (nothing untoward id like to add) but I did not fancy her at all. She had boyfriends and I was genuinly happy for her, as soon as I ever had a girlfriend she would be mega pissy with me and not see me for weeks. The dynamic changed massively because, as I am utterly useless as shit like this, I did not realise she fancied me or had any feelings for me what so ever.

So depends on the situation.
