WiFi booster help

As a family of 5 adults we have lots of games consoles, phones computers using the WiFi. My sons ps4 is lagging so much, I bought a booster but it’s not helping. Any ideas ? X

WiFi boosters are designed to boost your signal between rooms not give you more bandwidth if you have fibre contact your provider

It also depends on what other households are doing on your immediate area.

You share a common circuit with other households and if they are streaming movies then that'll slow your connection down too and there's very little you can do about it on afraid.

I feel your pain OP (not! ). Try living in an apartment for the past 10 months that has rarely had speeds above 2mbp!

It should be illegal for any provider to sell broadband without a bare minimum of say 20mbp.

I know this might sound complicated but check if the router has 5G on it most routers are on the standard 2.4GH which a lot of people use and slows down everything if it has 5G on it switch it over and see if that helps

Go into the wifi router settings and prioritise the ps4 connection, use a lan line from the router to the ps4 if you can
