tbh i don't have kids (thank feck), but when i go to the cinema what is it with parents and kids that are completely unable to sit in there seat till the bloody films starts,,,,,
e.g after 15 mins of trailers, and adverts they decide to come in then sit in front of me, then the father decided to move so he is in between the kids...dont get me wrong i understand that people go to the cinema....but ffs, thee are people that pay good money to watch a film!!!!

If you can go in the day its brilliant, if i go with my son we always go in the day, usually only a few more other people in the whole place its brilliant. Going to start going on my own as well, when i can find something i want to watch. |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
If someone noisy sits near me in the cinema, I move. There's only one of me so much easier.
Having said that, the cost of going to the cinema these days I prefer to wait til the DVD. |

so what are you actually missing? I seem to remember you go to old trafford. Do you expect 78000 people to tahe their seats and sit still to watch the warm up?
Less of a rant more of a whine |

The only times i go to the pics is usually with my kids! So, it would be kids movies we were watching!
If either of them wanted the toilet either at the start, middle or near the end of the movie, i would take them!
And if some duf sitting behind us on his own wasn't too happy about missing a few seconds of a kids movie, he would be told to do one!! |

"spiderman is a 12a...it is not a kids movie...
"
12a means 12 or over without adult supervision, under 12 WITH an adult!! So, 13 onwards are adults then?? |

Err... 'scuse me peeps... Am I missing something important here...
You go to the cinema, choose a showing that suits you and your family, buy your sweets and drinks, queue till the doors open and then find seats.
You place yourself so that the kids arent behind the 6 footer in the row in front during the Pearl n Dean, move again coz another sits in front of your 3 footer... Everyone settles in watching the "suitable certificate" trailers...
Just as the main feature starts some twat in a hat shuffles his ass along the row in front, causing a mexican wave of shuffling patrons, parks said fat arse probably in front of your kids and spends the next 10 minutes sorting out his phone, drinks straw and opening packet of sweeties...
It is truly selfish and definitely worth a rant, once you are home and in company of sympathetic unselfish peeps...
I could be wrong... |

Totally off subject but I thought Amazing Spiderman was not that amazing.
Loved The Avengers, though the group of so called adults that were in fancy dress and d*unk (did slightly ruin it for me and my son).
So it's not always children that ruin it.
Looking forward to the new batman, dark knight rising next.
And yes im 33! |

Problem there is that I am "always" asleep by the end of the Pearl n Dean... Til I get a nudge from a stroppy 3 footer who needs to move... Again...

As long as the kids are quite and don't disturb the main feature surely they are allowed to chat and move around. As long as they are not shouting and screaming and running riot.
And as for arriving 20 mins before the film is due to start, it is far easier to arrive a little earlier as it means you are more likely to find seats altogether, arriving late could possibly mean being apart and not having carer supervision. Unless of course you are lucky enough to have booked tickets online and have been allocated seats.
I am sure it would make you far more cross if a group arrived late and interrupted your viewing of the main feature trying to get all the kids settled. |

Having worked in a cinema you need to go at a later showing to avoid the kids with pea-sized bladders.
Nothing wrong with kids films, a lot of them are quality films that rank better than a lot of adult rated movies.
Kids do not sit still in a cinema unless they're trained to do so.
Also, in my time at the cinema guests ever asked me to tell someone to move so they can see the screen better.
If they did I would have laughed and given them a dirty look as well. |
