You know when your kids where little and you used to take them to see characters, how much of it was because you wanted to see them.
I remember taking callum to see one of the Mr Men upstairs in smiths, when he saw it he lept out my arms and half way down smiths stairs. Then we queued and queued to see mr blobby turn the christmas lights on and he started squarking and ran away from the flintstones, but when we went euro disney he was older so loved all the charactes |

We had to keep going to see Thomas the Tank Engine every year for a few years. I was almost as excited the first year as it included The Fat Controller and Santa Claus... he did not want to sit on Santa's knee and it was a little downhill from there. |

we couldn't take our kids to see anything like that. Tra is terrified of people in 'non human' costumes
She once broke the 200m world record after seeing a Cyberman at Bluewater |

When my girls were younger we went to Disney in Florida. My girls were scared of the ninja turtles, King Richard et al, the pics I have of them they were mostly crying.
Didn't care, I was living the dream. I'm nearly 52 years old and my pic with Mickey and Minnie is still one of my favourites. My friends and I were determined our kids were going to enjoy the experience, but truth be told our kids were just props for us to justify spending three days in Disney. |

Ours queued to have their pictures taken with every character they could at EuroDisney. |

I remember my kids wanting to watch at the cinema both 'The power rangers' and 'Casper', I quickly took them to see Casper leaving their Mum to take them to see power rangers. |

You just took me back to my childhood. Was at Disney and my mum wanted the character brekkie for her birthday. Good memories. Even if I was trying to hide from all the characters and thought I was too cool to be pictured with them cause i was 16! LOL! |

Well a few times it was because I wanted them to see things. Going to see Father Christmas was always for me as I liked to see them with him.
I remember going to see Thomas the Tank Engine and we were going to have a ride on him. There was no space in Annie so we had to sit in Clarabel and my son was moody and objectionable because he didn't like Clarabel. I thought he wouldn't get on and I would have been really disappointed as I wanted to ride on the steam train. Luckily he eventually agreed and on Clarabel we jumped. |
