Rentaghost.
I loved that TV show.
I also remember a weird dubbed TV show about a kid called Tim who had the 'best' smile in the world and there was an evil bloke who was trying to buy it from him... Strange but compelling viewing... |

Can anyone remember the black and white series that were longer than the school holidays so you never got to see the end of them?
The Flashing Blade
Belle and Sebastian
Robinson Crusoe
The singing ringing tree
The White Horses
Or is it just me?

Transformers
Ghostbusters
Thundercats
He-man
Being an 80s kid was great"
Correct.... 80's was pretty much the best decade for everything (not remotely biased of course! ).
I'll add an obscure one.... The Giddy Game Show. Mid 80's but none of my mates remember it except me!
For those that haven't been mentioned yet above, you gotta love a bit of James the Cat, Jossy's Giants, Willy Fogg, King Rollo and Mr Ben as well. |

Managed to miss Supergran off my list.
Some of the theme tunes to 80's cartoons were awesome as well. Sat here in the bath watching them on a well known video sharing site and singing along as we speak. |

I’m going to jointly award ‘You Won This Thread’ to cookiekitten and Terms and Conditions for mentioning ‘Battle Of The Planets’ and ‘Ulysses 31’ respectively.
As much as I was utterly obsessed with Transformers as a kid, and as much as loved other cartoons like Thundercats, The Centurions and the usual kids stuff, I’ll put this out there......Ulysses 31 was the best standalone cartoon series ever made. Done.
And unless I missed them, no-one has mentioned ‘The Mysterious Cities of Gold’ or ‘Trap Door’ yet....so there you go. |

"Hey now the story must go on, 'cause a lot of time has gone we must be ready to go away...."
40 something's, you're welcome.
Now try and get it out your head for the rest of the afternoon. |

Probably one of my earliest memories is of a kid's show I was obsessed with when I was three. (Here's Humphrey) A friend of mine made me cry recently by finding that particular version of it (1988) on YouTube. |
