That’s fantastic Derek. My daughters respite centre has been closed for both, but we’re in Wales.

That's good news, the day centres in Nottinghamshire have been closed since march  |

I (Devil) work at a day centre for adults with learning disability. We have reopened on 5th of October, but only for service users who live with family carers. And yes, bubble system is in place.
Some families chose not to send their relatives in as yet, some have pulled them out now that we're in lockdown again but the ones that are in seem to enjoy being able to come to "work" (as they call it) again and get some routine back. |

nearly everyone has come back to our centre but in bubbles I help out in our candy shop |

My sons day service is staying open this time thankfully. Some of the young people have decided not to go. But for us it’s a blessing that he can still go x |

I get out and about most of the time when I 1st went to the centre 5 years ago it open my eyes more about disable people |

Service users that attend my day centre are not able to live on their own. They either live with family carers, in supported living or in care homes, depending on their needs and abilities. As the family carers had no formal support throughout the first lockdown (started to get some once shielding was finished), they were the first to be given the opportunity to send their relatives in. In phase 2, the service users that live in supported living will be given the opportunity to come back to the Centre. Nobody knows when this is going to happen though. |

Majority of people using council day services receive support at home if not living with family |

some memebers in my centre either in surrported living or care homes others with family days centres open any disable adult witch is great |

Also, if all our service users returned straight away, we would not have been able to keep them safe and maintain social distancing. As we are a very busy day centre. |
