Sitting with a virtual classroom open but I'm the only one here. Young people from Hong Kong, China, Bahrain, Saudi, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Russia, Turkey are all in separate groups in virtual breakout rooms. I'm just here to answer questions.......... |

Ooooooo genealogy is fun! I traced my Dutch Jewish ancestors back to the 1700s |

It is been 20 years at it so far, I find it interesting, why they moved, how they lived, what was going on at the time. It’s easier now with some records going online but I do miss the days of sitting in the records office doing the jigsaw puzzle or trailing around the local villages to find the addresses and graves. All UK based at the moment, with immigration to US and transpiration to Oz, back to the late 1600s / early 1700s on most lines. |

My dad's side ended up in the UK having immigrated from the Netherlands, others from the same family went to Wisconsin (we're talking the 1880s) and they're still there and I made contact. It's really cool! We've been through the records in Dutch in the home town where our family shop still stands, family name still over the door. Sadly the Holocaust means no family are left now and it's a different type of shop. |

"Avoiding the news, curled up in bed with a hot water bottle and about to start the second season of The Twilight Zone.
I’m enjoying season one, hoping season two continues in the same vein "
Season one is good! There were a couple of episodes I really loved and couldn't work out what was going to happen at the end, I've got fingers crossed for the second. |

I’ve broken both years ago so now I’m older they can hurt like fck & fingers lockup if I push them too hard. One of the reasons I work for myself, I can start later & work around it.
