I'll swap your Derry accent for my Dublin accent
Sounds like a good swap "

"Scottish, Chinese, Dublin, New Zealand, and Korean.
I do have a soft spot for a Korean accent
Is it different to chinese "
Yes. Why wouldn't 2 different countries who speak different languages have different accents? |

Irish (have found both Northern and Southern accents sexy)
Spanish (but prefer actual Spanish )
Oh, I think I'm also contractually obliged to include random Northern English (influences of broad Lancashire and North Lakes) |

Irish (north or south)
Scottish
Yorkshire
Australian
Italian
Those are my top ones but I am a sucker for any accent as I'm from Hampshire and we don't really have an accent-we are not far enough west to have a west country accent but not far enough east to have a London accent |

I bet everyone from the regions who have these accents will cringe when they see a local on TV
The TV people always seem to find the strongest version of that accent
In Yorkshire we are famed for not using the word ‘the’.and just inserting the letter ‘T’
I’m off ‘T’ pub |

D here, I find a South East accent very nice which is handy as S is from Berkshire. I also like Scandinavia accents.
I have a pretty strong southern Irish accent (Cork county) and we've been together so long she doesn't think I have an accent. Everyone laughs when she says my accent is done. |

One of the most revered voices on the radio ever was a Hampshire one - John Arlott, the cricket commentator.
He had a very soft, soothing, subtle Hampshire accent. I remember hearing it on the radio when I was a little kid a lot.

Kiwi and Aussie accents are very different.
I never used to be able to tell the difference when I first went travelling, but soon discovered if unsure always ask if they are Kiwi first. Less likely to cause offence lol, just like Canadian and American accents (ask if they are Canadian first)

I can understand the Aussie Kiwi confusion, but being South African and constantly having people ask if I'm an Aussie or a Kiwi is a constant mystery to me??? |
