2. Evil Dead (from 1981...although remake is not bad).

It’s a trilogy, they are all good.
Phantasm is good also.
Fright night with Roddy McDowell is worth a look, otherwise I tend to go for the hammer Horror or old black and white Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi horrors. Black and white always makes them even scarier |
