Was going to pm you but I m outside your age limits - it does suck at the moment, I completely agree and many people feel they wake up each day feeling like a dark cloud is looming. We just have to get through this and the more people stick to what is being asked of them the sooner hopefully we will get there. |

Loneliness is a rotten feeling
It's a common misconception that you have to be alone to feel it
You can be in a room filled with love and laughter and still feel it
OP, what do you think that you can do to lift your spirit and alter your mindset? |

There’s a lot of it going around..and like others have said you don’t have to be alone to feel lonely but I think if you are it can make it more raw .. the lockdown has been really hard on those living alone whether they are going or old ..personally I got 2 dogs during lockdown both rehomed with me and that’s made all the difference to me .. hope you can find someone to talk to OP or find something to help .. good luck mate |

I live on my own with 2 kids. I often feel lonely because I have no adults to talk to or vent my anger at.
If you need a anger release or someone to chat to ? Feel free to message me. The same goes for anyone who’s struggling. |

That might be a start
Get up, drink, eat, shower and get dressed
Walk into town, say 'Good Morning' to people along the way
Take to a bench in a park, say hi to people, stop and stroke passing dogs and chat with their owners for a minute
Take lunch in a tea shop with friendly staff
Treat yourself to something from the shops
All these little things, those basic human interactions, can make such a difference
And just think, some of those you say 'Good Morning' to may be lonely too - your interaction with them might be the only one they have today
It's important
Take a chance, make yourself feel better and you could just make someone else feel better too |

That is excellent advice, but clearly the weather in Cheshire is nicer than it is here today! There's a full on storm raging haha |

Oh no, it's pissing down here too
Get one of those see thru plastic rain hoods that old ladies wear and you'll be fine
Dog walkers love them - especially the ones with old Jack Russells |

"Yes I feel lonely 99% of the time. Plus I have normally seen my youngest son loads, but this year I have only seen him once since Xmas x"
If I lived close to you I would ask to pop round to chat and have a cup of tea for an hour, no one should be alone and feel lonely X |

Lonelyness is great for short periods of time. I miss true human interaction.
I miss the smile when you bump in to someone shopping. Face mask no smile.
The forums at 3am help but i know i should be asleep |

I scrunch up my face so my eyes 'smile' because they can't see my mouth smiling. I probably look deranged. |

Quite used to being alone... and enjoy it. A _igma is a lone wolf... that’s what my name means. Just recently that hasn’t been the case though. Don’t know why... obviously missing something. Probably meeting! Covid took away a couple of regular partners that have been hard to replace. Well haven’t been replaced. Probably why I‘m back posting in here after not bothering for such a long time. Trying to amuse myself
Anyway... keep pointing forwards!! |

I'm ok thank you. I'm just missing someone who is away temporarily. I think the situation we find ourselves in at the moment with the global pandemic just adds to the feeling of uncertainty and loneliness. |
