Starman for me too. I was 9 years old and sat there
40 years (and more money spent than i dare to count)later & I'm still obsessed with the man. We even named our son David (never Dave) and our hamster is called Ziggy Sawdust
David Bowie is the love of my life
There, I said it! |

Well I fell in love at 14 when I saw Marc Almomd performing tainted love for the first time on TOTP. He wore all black with a studded scarf and then of course lots of bracelets, studded wristbands and thick eyeliner. I was mesmorised and fell completely in love.
To be honest I still am, have seen Marc a few times and he is a great performer.
Its only a small detail that he's gay |

+1.....I bought a t-shirt in Eye-Eye Records in Lancaster, red/black, skulls the motto "Trop Vite de Vivre... Trop Jeune de Mort" (or words to that effect....) two weeks later, Smash Hits had a poster of Marc Almond wearing that self same t-shirt.....I was like a dog with 2 dicks for ages
Other WOW moments for me....
Queen at Live Aid
U2 Milton Keynes Bowl 1985 or 6.....(before Bono got so far up his own arse anyway)
Blondie at Kendal Calling last year |

Not sure if Music Videos count? but was sitting at the family table having dinner, I think 'Crossroads' was about to start but they were ahead of schedule so put on a 'pop slot'
It was Kate Bush, in a red dress singing 'Wuthering Heights'

Somewhere, I've got a photo of me, size 8, (those were the fecking days ) , age 16, wearing that shirt (it was seldom off my back for years), leather mini, fishnet tights, studded leather belt and cap with a blue lagoon cocktail in my hand......
My mam showed it to my 10 year old cousin a while back and asked him who he thought it was......he said he reckoned it was a model from the 60's..... @ model..... @ 60's
