A robot is a machine.
An android is a robot made to look like a person.
A replicant is an android which is so human like it'd be difficult to know they were an android. |

A robot - a machine that looks like a machine, but obviously a machine.
An Android - a machine in human form, but obviously a machine (Robin William's Millennium Man)
A replicant - a machine in human form that looks human (blade runner)
