"All the veg, a pile of roasts & I'll have a bit of each meat but only eat the beef & bring the rest of the meat home for the dog
Ahhh the old tinfoil swan "
I used to take food bags but most places will pack leftovers in a takeaway tub now |

I have just about anything on offer in a carvery , but the experience would be somewhat diminished by not being able to do my own ‘stacking’. Hopefully normal service will resume ASAP, in the meantime enjoy your carvery OP. |

I have a Toby every couple of weeks... if you download the app they do half price meals during the week Monday to Wednesday....
Can’t beat getting a king size plate for 8 quid....... |

"Everything apart from peas and carrots, and you have to fill the Yorkshire puds with stuff to maximise the amount you can get on the plate "
I wish restaurants would do the giant Yorkshire pud carvery down here |

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, honey roast sweet pots, carrots and parsnips, roast shallots, cauliflower cheese, minted peas, homemade Yorkshire pud, homemade sausage meat stuffing, and proper thick, meaty gravy.
Dessert should be accompanied by custard.

I do the same!!! I love veggies but the rest of the house are fairly boring veggie wise so I make the most of it - our dog can only eat turkey though

I'm quite fussy about how it's laid out.
Stuffing inside the Yorkshire pudding.
Some beef and maybe some gammon too.
Small amount of mash
3 roast potatoes
Red cabbage
Green beans
Brocoli
Carrots
Cauliflower cheese
Pigs in blankets
A dollop of wholegrain mustard on the beef
A splodge of apple sauce on the gammon.
If not already on it then some Cranberry sauce on the red cabbage.
A, little drizzle of gravy over the stuffing filled Yorkshire pudding.
I can't wait until next Sunday |
