So guys, my question is do you use a salon for treatments such as spray tanning, waxing, hair treatments ect and would you go to a salon that was particularly aimed at men? |

I ll get shouted at now... I just know that and it is totally illogical but ... I would not want my partner to be using any of that stuff - it is a bit too effeminate for my liking...
I do like a good shave on him and a really nice after shave |

My fb is a beauty therapist so I get my spray tans done with her! She refuses to do back crack and sack though!! I have looked into this at salons but very few offer the service! Would be glad to hear of places that do it locally to me!!

More than capable of using a razor. Up stairs and down. Never felt the need for anything more, but have to admit, if one of the treatments was preferred by my fb I would happily participate. |

"spray tan .... never
wax.... yes
hair.... no hairdresser alive could help me
massages... yes, yes, yes
love them"
Ah massages... they dont constitue a beauty treatment, they are an essential to maintain good posture, avoid neck, back and shoulder problems and also work as a stress buster. So thats totally ok in my world- you ll be so pleased to hear that |

I can understand that - its also about being curious about what it feels like etc..and you d be doing it for somebody, to please in other words. Again, thats ok I think - I just would not wish for my partner to do anything like that |

You will find the old and crinkly dont do in for it though. Its like gardening flat smooth is easier to get in perfection. Old and crinkly with more hills and troughs you haven't a hope with.
Past a certain age they are happier with a newspaper and a pair of slippers. |

Not strictly correct as one of teh first male grooming products to come out was to stop grey hair appearing in older gents...
Ah this has just given me an idea for a new thread - cheers |

I like to see a guy whos made an effort, so many men expect women to be well groomed but they just wash and go, its about time they put the same thought into looking good as we do
How would a guy feel if i turned up with grubby nails, un shaven, hair just combed back etc yet they do it and because they guys its ok |

you can take pride in yourself and still be manly
I dont want to meet a guy whos waxed from head to foot, shaped eye brows and clear nail varnish on to give them a shine lol
But certain areas waxed/shaven, the mono brow removed and clean nice shaped nails is nice and not OTT for a guy |

To be honest i cant be bothered looking at products i have not needed for most of my life. And just the chemical content turns me off .
Rising male interest in improving their "physical allure" is being fuelled in particular by the cult of high-profile male role models, such as celebrity sportsmen and film stars,i suppose as you get older you become less susceptible to hypodermic marketing . ..a good haircut and decent suit and shoes seems to win out for me. |

They would and ive had it
I ment a guy once and he even told me what underwear he'd like me to wear, so i did as he asked and did all the usual when meeting, shower, shave, nails, make up, hair, dressed as he asked etc and so on and he turned up straight from work, i made a comment about the fact he had been working all day and still had the same clothes on and not showered he replied, i'll have a shower after no point having one first i'll only get all sweaty and need another after anyway |

Metrosexual is a neologism derived from metropolitan and heterosexual coined in 1994 describing a man (especially one living in an urban, post-industrial, capitalist culture) who spends a lot of time and money on shopping for his appearance

no i've never had a rash, dont know if its the razors i use or i just have tough skin but i never get a shaving rash and never have
However i only shave it when im having a meet, not because im lazy but because if you shave to much your skin gets used to it and it looses that just shaved sensative feeling, i just find that if i only shave when needed it stays more sensative when i do shave and feels better when i get a tongue round it, you cant beat the feeling of a nice warm tongue running over reshly shaven skin when it feels all sensative or was that to much information? |
