0300 numbers are solely available for the public sector and not-for-profit organisations such as registered charities. Costs to them are no more than a standard UK landline number and must be included in any inclusive minutes tarrif on mobile phones. |

03 numbers are being introduced as an alternative to chargeable 08 numbers like 0870. Calls to 03 numbers will cost the same as calls to geographic numbers (starting 01 or 02), and be included as part of any inclusive call minutes or discount schemes in the same way as geographic calls.
So not exactly free from mobiles, but are part of your package |

A BT help desk person gave me a 03xx number in place of the 0845 premium number. They said is so you can call from a mobile and pay whatever rate you would pay to call any other landline on your mobile plan. |

You really must STOP contacting those Chat Lines thinking you are having a horny conversation with a tall, leggy, busty blonde............you are probable chatting to my mum as she needs an income to top up her pension!!!! |
