Why has an OSTRICH never won the London marathon ?

They run at 45 mph but only run for about 3 or 4 miles at a time, then have a break for several hours. On that basis it would take them a long time to complete a marathon. |

Yeah, but a proper ostrich costume has the person facing backwards so the knees are the right way around.
I don't fancy running 26 miles backwards! |

Ostriches aren't allowed in an 'egg and spoon "race ..
Their eggs deemed to give them an unfair advantage..

Personally I wouldn't put too much faith in an ostrich. They are also very unreliable, are prone to taking days of sick, not really committed to anything and contrary to popular belief...they don't taste like chicken. |
